I don't drink that often, but the fact that I'm avoiding alcohol for that fact bothers me, I'd like to be able to have a beer without worrying about relapsing. I know a lot of people who have quit smoking for months and then relapsed, and I really don't want that to be me. I'd prefer to be addicted to Snus over smoking since Snus won't affect my wife or baby.

I was a huge smoker (well compared to most) and if you're just looking for a nic buzz without all the crap that comes with cigarettes, go the way of the snus. I quit cigarettes in 3 days with snus and I honestly didn't try hard. I went from spending most of the day planing my next cig to just popping a snus when the mood suits me. Snus isn't perfect but its damned close to it!

I think e-cigs are great for the hand to mouth addiction, but I wouldn't rely on them for decent nicotine delivery. Snus is far better at that...
I would agree though that if you can go without nicotine completely, then don't try snus. I, though, like many others here have a hard time going without nicotine. I've tried weaning myself off of it, but was never successful. So if you think you have to have nicotine, snus is the way to go... And I've also been using nasal snuff, which is pretty decent, but it does make a mess of your nose.

I agree with the sentiment that all things being equal it would be better to not use any nicotine products but,and don't take this the wrong way, it sounds like you're fiending a bit. I would pick up some snus, maybe some snuff as well and take it slow but have it on hand. Better that then slipping into old habits. The great thing about snusing as opposed to every other time I quit is that I am not constantly thinking about cigarettes. To do so, even with nominally negative thoughts seems like an easy slide back into smoking. Good luck!

If u like the habbit you could just get e-cig. Lots of vapor and juices are with 0 nic too.
I recomend Janty eGo, most powerful and very long battery life.

I just wanted to report back and let you know how it's been working out for me. I have been snusing for the past month and a half or so, and I am happy to say, I have had NO cravings for a cigarette! It really has been great, I've been loving it and trying a few different flavors. Definitely going to look at trying more different ones, I've been sticking mostly to General mint, and recently went to wintergreen, which I like better. I really wish the place I buy it at carried the wintergreen minis because I prefer to use the minis when I'm at work because although I don't think anyone can see it when I have it in, they make me feel a little less self-conscious about it. Overall though, I've been very happy with the results!
