Another New Snus Fan, Next Can Suggestions

    Hi folks,

I have been enjoying snus now for a couple of months, and would like to thank all of the folks here at SnusOn for the wealth of info. I am an occasional cigar and pipe smoker, and I used to use Skoal Classic when I was in college some years back but had to quit due to excess gum recession.
Anyhow, a friend of mine shared some Camel Mellow snus with me earlier this winter. I thought it was all right, but could be much better since I am not a huge fan of artificial flavors / casings in tobacco. I didn't think much more about it, until I was listening to one of Mark Maron's podcasts a few weeks later. He was on a rant talking about how hopped up he was on caffeine and nicotine, and that he was using some snus, and not the fake stuff, but the real Swedish stuff. That peaked my interest, and I hopped on the internet and quickly found SnusOn. I read many posts, and ordered some snus the next day. I ordered a General white portion sampler from buysnus.com, along with a few other random cans. I placed the order on Sunday night and received it that next Thursday just using the Swedish Post. I thought that was pretty amazing, but I do live on the East Coast.
Anyhow, I have placed a couple of orders now, and I am settling on some favorites. My current favorite is the seemingly stalwart General white portion. I know it is flavored with bergamot, but it is subtle, and works so well with tobacco. Plus it reminds me of Earl Grey tea which I have always liked. My second favorite is Ettan white portion, followed closely by Grov white portion. I found that I was not a huge fan of the flavored varieties like the catch series. I am kind of on the fence with Roda Lackett, and I did not care for Gotborgs Rape', even though I do like gin. I also ordered a can of General Original portion and Probe Original portion. At this point I don't like the Original portions, but I wouldn't be surprised if my tastes shifted in that direction eventually.
Based on my preference for General, Ettan, and Grove white portions does anyone else have any recommendations for me? I am going to place another order in the next couple of days.
Oh, and I am loving the snus lifestyle by the way. I have always enjoyed tobacco, and this product is genius. I can throw in a portion at work at my office job and nobody has any idea. I realize how lucky I am when I see my smoker coworkers going outside in the rain all stooped over miserably puffing away. I have also not experienced any gum recession so far.
    Thanks everyone.

If you like Bergamot, I highly suggest LD White. General White is my fall back snus, but LD is by far the best bergamot snus period! Oh, and welcome to SnusOn.

That's another good one. I'm on my first can of it, it's growing on me, but I still prefer LD.

I'd recommend the Philip Morris 1847. Though if you don't like original portions, even the whites might have more flavor than you might be looking for.

Personally, I love original portions, and the 1847 will be my first 10 pack roll of one flavor. Along with a roll of Grov los. And some various other random cans just for good measure

Suggestions? Dont stop till you've tried them all!

Seriously though, don't even think about ordering rolls till you've tried just about every snus there is, you never know what your tastes will lock onto.

Man, I just read about PACT. What a pisser. From what it looks like GetSnus and Northerner will still be operational? I guess it will just cost more. I am hoping that enforcement of PACT will nearly be impossible, and I can keep ordering from one of the overseas sites.

Yeah, the northerner and getsnus both plan on complying with pact, so you will have a more limited selection and will have to pay taxes.

Buysnus seems to not really give a shit (rightfully so), so we will have to see how that goes over. Most of the snuff sites seem to be planning on following the buysnus model. It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out, but hopefully we will be able to continue ordering from these sites and hopefully the USPS wont really notice (I don't think they are nearly as effective as many people seem to be giving them credit for).
