Ive been drawn .. to the loose side of the snus..

I dislike cardboard tins. Here in florida it is easy to sweat enough to make them wet....I know. If I have it in my back pocket I kill it when I sit as well....especially when I have been sweating. Snus is salty enough without me helping it along....

As for freshness....at most a tin of los will last me a week. No problems there.

If you go through it within a few days to a week, it should be good in the original fiberboard can. If you take any longer, I would suggest putting it in a portion can of general, as those are plastic and it will hold longer and stay fresh for weeks. Usually the fiberboard cans dry out the los relatively quickly compared to the all plastic cans that seal relatively well.

I put my Swedish Match los snus in their respective portion cans (general los in general portion can, ettan los in ettan portion can to preserve the same flavor) as the plastic portion cans generally hold them for longer (1 month +) as I tend to have several cans open at a time and it takes me awhile to go through 1 can of a specific los. Swedish Match are the only manufacturers that currently use the fiberboard los cans to my knowledge...

I've been doing a small experiment, with this General Los, I have about 1/3 left in the can. I noticed the Gellivare was a bit dry, I guess that's how it is meant to be, and flaky, well, I've just been pinching it, and sticking under my lip, and it's been working well like that, plus this stuff does not stick, and simple mouth rinse gets it all. So, I took my 1/3 of General Los, and am trying to get it to dry and flake up a bit similar to the Gellivare, and see if it works the same. It's still a bit moist and sticky still, but I did grab a few pinches of it and just stuck it in, and so far so good. I used to think more moisture was better, but it seems the dryerish makes it stay put and not mudslide.

ok so after an hr and half it started mudding up pretty good on me and i went a cleaned what looked like 1/3 of a smashed oreo out .. all in all good flavor wont be my goto but when im home/weekends will deffo use and get better at it

Third time I've used loose, getting better/faster at making it and I'm craving it more than portions now. It's fun to make, tastes and smells great and for me anyway, a stronger nicotine hit. Only downside is it's in direct contact with my lip and gums but I only plan on making one or two a day if that. Can't take this stuff to work when I'm making food!

Yeah, that's why I use portions in public. The other day I had a portion under my lip in an awkward way which made it bulky and she said I looked like a hippo.

Welcome to the dark side! Los is still, by far, my favorite snus experience. Sadly, I've had to move to portions during the day due to the new line of work. Nothing beats getting home, getting out of my uniform, and packing my 5ml icetool full of some Phantom.
