    Jaw Aches

Does anyone else get jaw aches or chest pains when using snus? I get them from time to time, although I have a feeling that it is mostly stress. If I try to relax my jaw it subsides a bit, however I was still wondering if anyone has had these as symptoms? Do any of you need to remember to relax your jaw while snusing?
Note: I get the chest pain without snus as well, but its notciable most times I snus. Acid reflux I believe...

I get Jaw Aches, but I think it's TMJ.

    I grind my teeth.

My problem when using snus is thrusting my tongue against my bottom front teeth.

No pain associated with snus usage. Sometimes a nice stark snus will give me a tingled numb like feeling if I haven't had one in a while. I like it.

I too grind my teeth, but I do it without any nicotine, snus just makes it a tiny bit worse. But that will cause jaw pain, and the muscles will feel tight.

I've had TMJ for years, long before I ever started snusing - have a couple mouth guards (one hard, one soft) that I had made at the TMJ pain clinic. Don't wear them too often. Don't chew gum at all - that's an exercise in pain for me.

When I started snusing, I noticed no increase in pain or discomfort at all. My TMJ pain is pretty much exclusively stress related.

I get ocassional jaw pain from snus.

And yes it does increase the pain, it's something to do with the muscle contraction I suppose.

I grinded my teeth for years and the jaws a bit loose.

My left jaw clicks every time I bite down. been doing this for like 5-6 years. Have no Idea why. Sometimes other people can hear it when I'm chewing. I don't notice it usually anymore. Only when people bump old threads that mention jaw pain. Thanks.

Same here, but not every time, just occasionally.

But no jaw pain from snus, I do have some now from drinking and screaming all day at the football game. lol
