    Hiya, welcome to Snuson :^)

I honestly can't see a cut in that photo. You can get small white patches(lesions) from using snus, and you can also get gum recession. I haven't heard of anyone getting cuts in their gums. Try changing the location of the snus, and see if that helps. It wouldn't hurt going to a dentist. That's a good idea anyway :^)

      Welcome, Sadistinen_Fabio.*

I have not used snus very long, so I am not one to give you advice. But depending upon what the others tell you, I would say seeing a dentist might give you peace of mind.

Of course, he will probably advise you to stop using snus.

Do you use portions? I can see where the little packets could maybe cut one's gums.

Or maybe it's the fiberglass. . . . JUST KIDDING!

*I've been here ten days, can I say that yet? )

Thanks for the quick reply! I see that you have a good atmosphere here

I cant really describe it but its not really sore (although you press it hard). It would be nice to have some pictures about snusing people teeths, i could describe it better. And i dont mean those shocking warning pictures but if you guys have pictures about your tooth, link it here.

I've been using snus a few months now, and I never got sore mouth, lesions, or anything. I did have some gum discomfort on one side, but I think it's not because of the snus per-se, but just something on my gum, in an area where my teeth is not the straightest. A wad of paper would have done the same. But that area hasn't bothered me in a while. I did get some staining on one side my the gum when I was using loose snus daily, and that hasn't gone away, but it's no biggy, and not noticeable, but to me when I look at it in the mirror.

This sound little bit same than my problem, if I understand you right Well my "cut" or whatever has gone little better so if its dosent get worser it shouldnt be very serious  I was just asking because i have no idea what is it.

I've been snusin since June, and have had one little problem. I cannot snus on the tight side of my mouth without discomfort. No cuts, or white sopts or anything like that, jsut discomfort as if my mouth is just shaped to disagree with putting a portion there. I snus mainly on the left, and the only thing different is the skin that attaches the check to gums gets a little bumpy/shriveled (kinda hard to describe) from the salt. I don't think it's a big deal though as it goes away when I sleep, or don't snus for a while.

              Oh, welcome to Snus-On.

Hmm i have searched pictures and it looks like little bit gum reccesion but not that serious. Its hard to belive that would be gum reccesion because it became after 2 weeks when i started again and sounds weird that it would come so quickly. I snused half year, then 2 monts break and started in autumn again. Could it be gum recession because its have got better with time?

You didn't say if you're using loose or portions. But I'm assuming loose. The studies show that portions cause less lesions than loose so you might want to switch to portions further back until it heals.

In either case, are you switching sides? I think it's a good idea to practice good oral hygiene whether you snus or not. Floss and brush at least once a day. But overagressive brushing can be bad. Use a soft brush and brush properly, maybe ask your dentist about rinsing with diluted hydrogen peroxide.

I saw my dentist and knew my tooth and gum health before I started snusing and I haven't had any untoward changes doing the above. I had some gum recession from age but it hasn't worsened. In fact, my gum health seems to have improved.

But, hey, I'm just some poster on the internet. If it's bothering you you should go see your dentist. Let us know how this works out.

First half year portion no problem at all, then break and after that i started again with ettan lรถs snus. After that "cut" i used my lรถssnus boxes to end and then switched back to portions  I have heard that some guys have had also problems with they tooth after break.

About lรถssnus... Is that really much worser? Because i like it better but i use portions until my problem is fixed.

Dentist... I have traumas from that.

Two things why i hate going to dentist

                            1. 13 tooths is replaced from my mouth by dentists, most of them were milk tooths but still. That sucked.

                            2. Dentists are usally dickheads
