I nap with it most every day after work. I have slept with it in a couple times, but I too usually wake up and take it out. I think you will find a lot of stories of sleep snusing here but I dont know why it would be any worse than using it while awake.

I've been sleeping all nite with an es portion for over a month. When I wake up i pop a sterk in. Sometimes my lips get sore like today. Most problems I've had seem more linked to drinking too much and dehydration. I can't really blame it on the snus. But it can't be good IMO. Probably best to give the gums and mouth a break, but I love it.

I am more worried about choking or it ending up in my hair.

jon, you've made three posts now. One about the fiberglass you found in your snus, one about rising TSNA levels during a shipment, and now about snus affecting your liver and pancreas.

If you're this worried about the health hazards, maybe you should rethink using snus. I mean why would you continue to use it if you are this worried about it?

I went to sleep with a portion in last night and I felt great when I woke up. First time in 10 years I've woken up not feeling like I was going to die if I didn't get nicotine in my system immeditely.

It's easier said than done. I've been addicted to nicotine since I was 14 (I'm 28 now). Started with cigs, then Kodiak Wintergreen/cigs for about 12 years. Tried nicorette, but went back several times. I think all questions are good questions that should be asked since Swedish Snus claims to be "reduced" harm. The fiberglass should be answered. Is it really salt? I think the representatives from SM should answer this. The shipment method is also good because Swedish Snus does not have the same preservatives as American tobacco. And the liver/pancreas question is related to claims that swedish snus can cause pancreatic cancer although I feel the pain I had was just from heavy drinking.

Btw, I've been snusing for almost a year and made other posts when I first started. Just forgot my username/password. Started with mostly Skruf Stark portions and always ordered from buysnus.com. Helped me quit smoking pack and half a day and bad coughing. Still smoke occasionally when drinking but trying to stop that too. Started to try SM products this time and ordered General, exstra sterk and onyx from getsnus this time to try something different.
              1. There is no damn fiberglass in Swedish snus.

              2. Even if snus does double your risk of pancreatic cancer, your chances are STILL BELOW 1%. Much lower than your chances of getting lung cancer from cigarettes or oral cancer from American smokeless tobacco.

              3. You really don't think that in all the years snus has been around, that if shipping it made it more dangerous, someone would have realized it by now?

Bottom line? Calm the **** down and enjoy your snus and the fact that you are no longer killing yourself with cigarettes. :P

jon, you are way ahead of the game by switching from cigarettes to snus. That being said, there is still a risk involved as there is with everything you do.

About 200 people per year get oral cancer in Sweden, while about 500 people die in car accidents. You are safer using snus than you are driving your car.

Just chill out and enjoy your snus!

                  Don't believe them.

If you fall asleep with snus in your mouth you will die.
Over the course of time you are asleep snus will eat a hole in your upper pallet and slowly work it's way to your brain. Once there thousands of microscopic brain eating organisms that have been secretly living in the snus, just waiting for there chance to be released, will start consuming your brain.
It happened to me but I woke up in time and only half my brain was gone. I was able to flush them out of my head by pouring liquid Draino in my ear.

                  I'm better now.

Frankly I'd be more worried about the drinking than the snus. 8)

Know what's nice for sleeptime? Mocca Pom. I don't mind falling asleep with a mini portion in, and the nicotine dreams are nice. I won't fall asleep with a regular portion in since I woke up and found I'd drooled on the pillow. There's a stain that doesn't wash out easily.
