    gum question regarding loose snus

    Hi,
I have been using loose snus just for a few days and I look at my gums and they look wrinkly and when i feel it with my tounge it kinda feels leatherly....
Is this a bad sign of using loose snus?
    thanks,

Well, it's a common sign of using snus in general. The snus is alkaline and will dry out the skin under your lip, making it a bit tough and leathery. It's nothing dangerous - or at least the best medical knowledge we have thusfar seems to indicate that it's nothing dangerous. Like getting callouses on your feet when you don't wear shoes...that sort of thing.
