Well, I've fully replaced cigarettes with snus for about 10 weeks now. I've cheated twice and smoked cigarettes and really felt horrible (I'm talking physically) afterwards. It's weird how you don't notice how bad cigarettes make you feel until you quit.
Anyway, Besides that... I'm working a new job with a lot of hours...also early hours... So I've been really loading up on the caffeine as well. It's not particularly stressful though and I still manage to sleep 7 hours a night (don't do much else besides work and sleep obviously haah).
I've noticed the past two to three weeks A LOT of my hair falling out. like...it went from not coming out to covering my sink...and if i run my hand through it quite a bit is left there. I'm 27 btw and believe it or not a few years ago when I did chemo... I didn't even loose my hair. So... this is highly unusual.
Anyway I looked up nicotine and hair loss.. and I came back with A LOT of forum hits and two studies talking about hair loss with the nicotine Gum.
Also quite a bit of hair loss related stuff with copious caffeine usage.
Seeing as how not much has changed in my lifestyle other than caf and nic... (TBH I do get (but enjoy) a lot more nic from snus than my smoking habbit) and its been about 10 weeks of use... 2-3 weeks of problems... I'm kind of wondering if Snus and coffee are to blame.
If so I'm sad indeed.
Maybe it will be motivation to quit snus as well.
We'll see. I'm pretty sure I dont have any other health problems going on, but I may visit the doctor next week just to make sure.
Any thoughts on this?
