I quit smoking 2 or 3 weeks ago.
Friend got me on American Snus, and later that week we ordered the General Sampler pack. Ordering more soon.
One thing that makes me kind of irritated is that people seem to view this as a "quit smoking aid". Its just another form of tobacco. If you want to quit, then just quit.

I still have the urge here and there to light up a cigarette, since nothing can really replace the habit of smoking, but I will just stick with Snus for three reasons.
    1. Its cheaper. Ordering Snus from Sweden is cheaper since I do not have to pay taxes for it.
    2. It's more convienient. I can use it anywhere, any time.
    3. It tastes good, unlike cigarettes.

I had the craving for a cigarette today, so I bought a pack of regular American Spirits. Smoked one and put the pack away. Just doesn't do it for me anymore.

        1. How long it has been since your last smoke (or dip).

I was surprised when viewing the dates of my orders with Northerner that it has been a month - it hasn't felt that long.

        2. How you are feeling in regards to no longer smoking.

Much much healthier. I didn't feel well on NRT or when I started smoking again. On Snus I feel great - really calm, focussed and alert, surprisingly I've got a nice clean mouth unlike smoking. I also felt nauseous on the cigarettes and I was lethargic on the NRT. No such problems now especially now I've found my level on Snus (I'm using strong Snus).

        3. What your plan is (i.e. is your plan to stop tobacco use all-together with snus, keep using snus, use it for a while to let your lungs heal up a bit, etc.)

Because I've smoked all my life (I'm 39) and now that I've got a young son (2 year old) I want to see him grow up. At my age I cannot continue to smoke, plain and simple. It will definately kill me.My chest had been warning me for a while. I've given up all nicotine for 5 months and it was awful. I then tried NRT for 7 months but it always left me wanting.

        4. Anything and everything else you want to add, or subtract out any of the above points.

As hinted above - I used to suffer from nausea, I put that down to a weak stomach and I was worried that Snus might make it worse. Snus had completely the opposite effect.

I cannot sing the praises of Snus enough for people that know that they cannot give up and want to continue to use nicotine and like a mild taste of tobacco.

There were no side effects whilst converting from cigarettes to Snus and Snus does not affect my appetite like cigarettes did.

88 days - I finished with the love of my life (Camels) on Valentine's day!

Liberated, I didn't think this day would ever come after so many failed attempts

Using snus now after experimenting with e-cigs (which I still use now and then). The convenience and discreteness of snus is the best. No plans to give up nicotine because one of the side-effects is a very unpleasant feeling of "unreality". Not sure that I'll ever be able to quit nicotine. Not sure that I want to stop snus in any event; I did want to stop smoking but just couldn't do it... until now.

          Sweden's best kept secret!

It's quite funny that most of the pharmaceutical NRTs have other barely known alternatives, some old, some new but all of them work better than the pharmaceutical versions:

          1) Gum/lozenge/microtabs vs. snus
          2) Nasal spray vs. nasal snuff
          3) Inhaler vs. e-cigs

Haven't smoked in 4 days. The only hard time was when I was drinking a beer last night, but it was manageable. Still waiting on real Snus in the mail as all I have at the moment is Camel SNUS, and it has helped, but the sweetness is ridiculous.

Same here. I bummed one (ok I paid a guy a buck for one) this past Saturday night, but the cigs no longer deliver for me. I'd much rather snus.
