    question

    Hi all

I was just wondering, whats harder on the gums, pouches or los. My dentist is all over me about my receding gum line but giving up snus is not an option.

    Thanks

I'd say los. Portions are easy to move around. Los is quite abrasive and also, once it's in, it has to stay where you put it.

Studies made by Swedish Match have shown lössnus can cause more recession than portions, but I still use lössnus virtually exclusively.

I've been snussing for just under 6 years. I've had no recession thankfully but you'll get gum recession with age anyhow. I have had a slight permanent staining which I do lay at the door of snus but it's not enough to worry about. I do get my teeth cleaned by the hygienist every 3 months.

            floss, and you'll be fine.

My last checkup/cleaning was two weeks ago and they no longer recommend the planing and scaling. The dentist was amazed that I'm down to 2's and 3's when it comes to the gums. Yay me.
