In a closed group of monkeys one of them contracted herpes. Tests were carried out and after 2 months the results were found to be conclusive....and I was fired

The fact that rich and poor statistics can spill over in to white and black statistics says far more about the inequity of the society they live within than the natural attributes of the individual races of people...

... and the fact that the publication is choosing to point the statistics out in those terms is probably a bit racist.
Don't quite understand what is racist about statistics, must be a UK thing. I mean if I said the population of Anycity, USA was 70% white and 30% black would you find that to be racist? What if it was 70% black and 30% white? Racial stats are used to pinpoint areas where help and resources are most needed so it just makes common sense to break things down this way. Why waste too much manpower and resources on a demographic group that has a relatively low percentage of people with a condition, whatever the condition may be.

I suspect the reason you see it this way is that the stats are about an STD so you see that as disparaging to a particular group of people. Hiding facts and stats because you are afraid they might hurt someones feelings i see as silly and even detrimental.

Not trying to bash you, just find it interesting and I guess it goes to show how different cultures and people see things differently.
