Yes, I believe tobacco does (or can) increase stress levels, that is part of the "nicotine trap" or "smoking trap" (if a smoker). The nicotine makes you think you need more nicotine, or that you are missing something without it, when you don't have it. You only realize you need tobacco when you don't have any and want some. The nicotine creates the stress it relieves, because when you take a dose of nicotine you are alleviating the created stress of withdrawl from nicotine. So if you are really stressed and think you need nicotine to take off that stress, you really don't, since that just the nicotine talkin' and it's probably just withdrawl from nicotine, not some supposed "stress". (it's explained way better in that Allen Carr "Easyway..." book, that's where I read about it)

People who never used tobacco or nicotine before don't have this problem or wouldn't understand. Maybe coffee drinkers do....

It's funny stuff Snus. I went to see a band a few weeks ago and accidentally left my Snus behind.
If I was still a smoker, this would have caused a meltdown of massive proportions.
Surrounded by smokers and drinking beer, should have tipped me over the edge but it didn't.
Had a great time and the whole experience helped me to understand the subtle nature of Snus, compared to cigarettes. I am still a nicotine fiend but in a nice way.

            I gotta chip in here.

There is no way that snus increases stress unless you've overdosed but it's easy to regulate your intake.
I know everybody's different but nicotine isn't strong caffeine. Yeah if you're giving up nicotine you'll go through a sh!tty 5 days but it isn't possible for withdrawal to last longer than that.
Life causes stress or it's caused by an underlying mental health problem. Take a look at that. This isn't meant in a nasty way at all - it's just a fact.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

It's similar but I don't want to chastise him yet just in case he's genuine. There's a lot of stressed people out there that'll see everything else as being the problem except themselves.

Yes, I'm not sure this is so much about nicotine...........
