Sometimes I miss smoking (but not that much) - there's something civilised about a pipe or a cigar on the occasion. Might just get myself some small cigars.
I'm quitting snus - this is my story

I can never go back. Things are different now. I originally started because I found (when I dug into my freezer of thunder), that I could enjoy tobacco in privacy instead of smoking outside where the construction workers were making huge amounts of noise.
But once I changed my location I no longer could "sub" patio it by sitting at a desk looking out a window.
Also I really don't miss waking up at 4 in the morning downing coffee cramming los and going for walks.
Or going for hikes and just pushing it with more pouches.
Smoking slows it down.
I wont sit here and go on about how I like smoking, because if I wasn't on a benzo now who knows I may have been still snusing. Since for some reason having to constantly go outside to smoke and be around other people annoyed me.
However I can say I'm in my 4th day I think of no snus. Withdrawal sucked @$$. : /To snus or not to snus. That is not the question

Honestly, I don't know if I would quit all nicotine, in the near future, if ever. I'm sure once I finish college, I'll cut down, but like some people who have a cigarette here and there, for me it would be a snus here and there. At least then my occasional indulgence of nicotine wouldn't kill me or even have any significant impact on my health. That's in the future though, as it stands now I go through one e cig cartridge a week, 1-2 tins of snus a week, about a quarter of a 10g can of nasal snuff a week, and about 10-15 cigs a week. I'm pretty bad right now lol...college stress is lovely.

I've been quitting snus with snuff for primarily financial reasons and its been much easier than anticipated. Certainly easier than the transition from cigs to snus. In less than two weeks I've been able to go from chain snusing and double barreling upwards of a tin/day to using no more than 2 portions. As my snus supply has dwindled to only a couple cans of mini mints, I certainly regret in hindsight not incorporating snuff sooner.
It's good to know though that I can sustain an enjoyable and relatively non deleterious tobacco habit for really only a few dollars/ week, if that. And while I still enjoy snus, likely more than snuff, It's reassuring I'm no longer dependent on the stuff. At a time in the near future when my finances are a bit more in order, I may even consider ordering a roll or two and know that it will last months rather than weeks.

Speaking in terms of free time though I would go through an entire can of los in a 6 hour halo session while i might go through 1 or 2 portions in the same amount of time if i study instead.

I'm a little behind everyone else in my new course of study but I actually enjoy sitting down and making sure i understand everything and i find if i just sit down and start studying without snus i can usually make it an hour without one without taking any notice. That being said I also work 24 hours a week at an insurance company on the phones so i snus all the time there and while in class.

After smoking for a whole month, pack a day either Winston's, camels, or lately American spirits I had to stop.
Today was my first day back to snus and I'm glad. Although I miss going outside and just having a reason to be outside and having that smoke bubble around you. Overall though smoking was stressing me out a lot. Although in some ways it was relaxing as it lowered my psychic energy levels.
I've never made it more than five days without smoking... but I literally forces myself to smoke my last pack and it was just sickening.
So now I guess ill have to deal with the boundless energy I have as a non smoker but I do the warrior diet so even as a smoker I have a lot of energy but now ill have way more.
Idk wonder how long I can go without smoking because that last pack I forced myself to smoke all that smoke clogging my lungs. If I never tried snus I'd still be smoking. I just think smoking is so unnatural. Where are you going to find a lighter and paper to roll a cigarette in the wild. When you can pinch a tobacco leaf and roll it into a ball and snus it.
I just wish snus had more of the smoke properties... like decreased awareness. I may smoke a cigar. To snus or not to snus. That is not the question

I have a few cans left of loose and a bit of rolling tobacco.
Is it possible tobacco actually increases your stress levels?
Idk. I just don't, lol ever think id have a gf with snus. And the thought of going back to smoking.
I may just have to say goodbye to tobacco its been an integral part of my life for so long
But i guess ill find new ways of livingTo snus or not to snus. That is not the question

I tried to quit. My wife quit smoking using Chantix. I tried using it to quit snus. I lasted about 3 weeks. It sucks because snus is so freaking expensive now. I moved to Florida from Alabama, and they aren't as kind with the taxes. I miss the Golden Age of snus, when you could order random cans just to try them out. Now I get 3 rolls of snus I know I like, rotating less and less brands throughout the day.
