OK I finally started really working out a little over a month ago and the results have been fantastic. I have dropped about 20 lbs and my blood pressure has dropped as well. I joined a gym with the goal of being able to jog for 3 miles on the treadmill within 3 months. Guess what? I am already there! I usually do 3 miles about 4 times a week and then finish off with a 4 to 5 mile jog on Friday. I am really slow right now and averaging about a 13 minute mile but I know speed will come with time. I also walk for an additional 30 minutes a day during my breaks at work. If I am not in the mood to jog, I will use an elliptical for 40 minutes. My next goal is to get to 3 miles within 30 minutes and add in some weight training. I have also switched from a vegetarian to a vegan diet most of the time and load up on fruits and veggies daily. My favorite snack is brussel sprouts with soy sauce or sliced tomatoes with salt and loads of cayenne pepper. The first 2 weeks were very hard but the results are paying off quickly. I feel amazing now compared to 2 months ago. My inspiration to start all of this was a movie called "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead". This guy named Joe Cross goes on a juice diet with some amazing results. I tried the juice diet for 3 days but got sick of it but the movie definitely motivated me to try and get healthy. Please watch the movie if you can. It just might change your life and it is one of the best movies I have ever seen!
