Precious have him do research on turmeric. It tastes awfully but it seems to help. They sell it as a spice. It's really popular in India.

@eric
I understand what you're going through since I see my brother going through Chron's for 8+ years now.
He's been going through flare up on and off along the years and two major surgeries (2003/2008)
He momentarily doesn't take any medication but he has been on imuran and prednisone this summer and felt really bad while taking them. He also used budenofalk and salofalk and some other steroids and also stopped taking them so he is trying to manage the illness on his own at the moment.

It's a bitch ha, but I'm dealing. Quit drinking cause of it which I haven't felt better in ages. He better be carefully with those steroids, long term use can cause a bunch of other problems all together.Originally posted by FrostedI've got a mate with crohns - he grew another arsehole as a result. He's on permanent steroids etc and he's very well now

Whatever it is that is wrong precious I hope you get the help you need.
I remember you told me once your brother had Chron's disease like me. I've been off all medications because I can't afford insurance and meds. I havent had a flare up in months. One thing I believe has been helping is Turmeric. I take a spoonfull of turmeric every night with water. It's a natural anti inflammatory and so far it seems be doing the trick. Is your brother on any medications for the chrons?

Pris hey man,Originally posted by prisI was wondering this. Quitting nicotine could cause anxiety/depression and once through the other side could possibly uncover an anxiety condition that you may have been self-medicating to a degree with nicotine. Possibly a short course of Diazepam may help. If it does that would suggest anxiety is the cause of your symptoms.
It's just not as simple as that. If a diazepam calms me down that doesn't mean it's all anxiety believe me. 100% of the Lyme patients have anxiety, if they DO take a xanax or any other anxiolitic and they calm down that doesn't mean they don't have Lyme don't get me wrong.
Anxiety can have many underlying causes and mostly can be generated by long term chronic illneses and pain.
My brother has mild anxiety and he has Chron's disease.
@headers let me tell you again, maybe you don;t understand ~ Anxiety doesn't destroy and joints in the body and doesn't come with certain other symptoms that I have on daily basis.
We can discuss for hours and still not understand that I'm psychically not in a good shape for years now, yesterday in 3 hours car drive I had terrible headache, vertigo, nausea, muscle pain, back pain.... come on this is just not anxiety and if you had anxiety know it for sure.
A tick can infect you and develop the illness 20 years later. You never know if you have Lyme issues until you take the proper examination. Believe me if you have all the symptoms described here http://www.canlyme.com/patsymptoms.html, then you are prone to have Lyme disease. And I do have or at LEAST had the most of those symptoms on and off. The symptoms vary in Lyme, meaning you can get some symptoms today and the next day you get others, then go off symptoms for a while and all return back in full force 3 months later if you know what I mean.
I have been reading like hours on Lyme stories and I'm not talking straight of my head, these people have had the same story. Everyone was telling them that it's all in their head and they were treated for other diseases (completely different) such as anxiety, sinusitis, arthritis, spondilosis, depression (which I all have) but I started to wonder if these conditions are not cause all by Lyme - because lyme causes arthritis, spondilosis, depression and anxiety.
Take you time to get a better picture on this subject and see through how much agony people have gone through some of them for 35+ years and been swallowing anxiety pills and anti-inflamatories.. it's not even close to funny.
Most people that have Lyme are misdiagnosed with multiple-sclerosis which is again terrible because the anti-inflamatory medication only further affects the borrelia type viruses.
Headers I really appreciate your recommandations and information you have me on this thread, I know you know your stuff about anxiety but I am well aware and know loads about anxiety and for some particular reason I am almost convinced this is not anxiety what I am going through and I have no choice but taking another route.
Also in Lyme apart from the physical symptoms, Lyme ****s up your brain which sadly I'm going through:
Watch this movie, and see how Lyme disease destroys the mind: (I"m going through this on daily basis)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYMDz6z58Dk
Maybe you will reconsider you opinion and anyway in the end not me, not you, not anyone on earth would be able to say if it's Lyme disease or NOT unless the tests are done, because we can both agree on this Anxiety and Lyme do both have a very high similarity in symptoms.
Headers, I really hope it is only anxiety but there are just so many symptoms that make me believe there is something really wrong with me. Please watch that movie above to understand the psychological side of Lyme disease.
@Frosted
Due to my symptoms I can hardly think of getting a job unfortunately. At least not now.
What do you mean by a more 'chilled' job though? Like an easy one you mean?
I've been working 12 hours on the computer every day and found out that the computer work particularly makes my symptoms worse and had to give up in april/may this year.
@Govegan
I don't smoke for a couple of months now, but I do use use, one or two prillas a day of Oden's Kane which I'm trying to give up as well.
Thanks for listening everyone.
Alex

Do NOT take MJ........and cut down totally on alcohol. Alcohol and MJ WILL make your symptoms millions of times worse. Nicotine makes no difference.
Meditation is brilliant - utterly brilliant. It's a natural and effective way of calming - your mind is firing at a million miles an hour which manifests itself in physical symptoms, with the brain naturally being totally connected to the release of hormones etc. You need to do 20 mins of meditation each day. If you don't know how to do it get a book - it's very simple to do.
Also - since we spend most of our lives working - try and get a more chilled job. Even if it pays less - you'll be a lot happier.
Good luck mate.

The thing is, most anxiety related symptoms can be associated with an incredible amount of illnesses. And thanks to the internet, you can find a million just by searching for symptoms. Lyme Disease just closely matches anxiety, but that does not mean you have it.Originally posted by precious007Have you read my Lyme thread? have you seen how many Lyme diagnosed people have approved my symptoms?
Look at this objectively: is it a logical reason that you got bitten by two ticks at the age of 9 and developed a disease 9 years later? In that case, I probably had lyme disease too since I was that age as well when I got bitten by ticks.
Also, what do the people on the lyme disease forum know about the symptoms of anxiety? Of course they will approve and tell you it matches it when that's all they are familiar with. You're writing that you are very anxious, and has been that for 7 years, and anxiety produces all these symptoms. 100% guaranteed. There's not one symptom that you have described that anxiety does not cause.
Also, with the Linden Method, did you comply fully to the rules? If not, the method will not work. You have to drain all conscious thought from what you're feeling and thinking (that is anxiety related) by diversion, at all times. Do this for some time and your subconscious will adopt this new behavior and reset the anxiety benchmark to a normal level.

@headers
I know what derealization is and I know that it happens in anxiety. I happen to know what anxiety is from inside out, since I've read about it for 7 years now. However what you might not know is that Lyme disease causes severe anxiety in 100% of the cases, so in my case I still believe that there's a medical condition that is causing me anxiety.
The doctors can't tell me a REAL diagnose because the doctors in Romania are dumb asses honestly.
We shall see what the test results say. Have you read my Lyme thread? have you seen how many Lyme diagnosed people have approved my symptoms?
I have read both the Linden Method and Panic Away and they're not helpful to me. They do have quite a few relaxation techqniues though.... I've read them long ago.
I will shoot you a PM tommorow headers. It's already 3 AM at my end.
The bottom line is that ANXIETY doesn't destroy the joints. Believe me there is a physical condition going on in my case for quite a long time and YES I have been bitten by two ticks when I was 9.
Thanks guys,
Alex

Population studies found that communities with lithia waters have lower suicide rates, mental hospital admissions, incidences of crimes, and arrests related to drug addictions.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithia_waterStudies measuring the effects of trace levels of lithium, commonly found in lithia waters, have demonstrated neuroprotective abilities, improvements in mood and cognitive function, and positive outcomes as a treatment for manic depressive disease.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithia_ParkLithia water can occur naturally in spring form. One example can be found in Ashland, Oregon's Lithia Park. The water is pumped to a fountain where hundreds of people come to drink it for its supposed positive psychological effects.
