Hit the snuff to get the urgent craving out of the way, throw in a portion and it is all good.

Plus.....snuff is cheap as shit.......for now.
This is the best advice of the thread. When u feel the urge take a pinch of snuff and throw in a portion at the same time.

Quitting cigarettes for snus is as easy or as difficult as you want it to be.

I loved smoking and did not want to give up at all. I couldn't care less about the health consequences and I actually did love everything about my habit.

Then I got an ultimatum, and I pretty much got forced to give it up. I was devastated and started using snus to replace the habit and get rid of the nicotine cravings.

Now it has been three years since I quit being a regular smoker and my craving for cigarettes are completely gone. Often now I can't understand how I ever could have smoked like I did and not care (maybe I've gotten older and wiser, hehe). I never saw this coming!

The only times I can crave a smoke is when I'm drinking, and at a few occasions, I've had a puff of a cigarette or a few cigs here and there. That I don't really care about though. I'm really happy I'm not a daily smoker!

            Snus does WORK!

Exercise, and eating well is always a good thing, but it only goes so far. Smoking is pretty bad for you as a regular habit. People go to the hospital for smoke inhalation :^D

To pull a number from my ass, I've held the 1 cigarette a day safety standard. I don't think that quantity would be that harmful, but I don't really know. You'll always be better not smoking at all. I've been smoking more than usual lately, not sure why. I've been having a cigarette every other day, or maybe every 3 days. I want to slack off a bit though. Mostly to make my smoking tobacco last. I was given 300g 2 Xmases ago by MojoQuestor, and I have about half of it left. When I was smoking full time, that would have lasted me about 2 weeks, maybe a bit more. Not too bad I don't think, and that would be a good standard for everyone imo. You still get to enjoy smoking, but only because you want to, and it won't be much worse than driving on the highway for an hour or two.

                DaveinPA,

I wish you the best of luck in quitting cigarettes (I was a 1-2 pack/day smoker until I discovered snus). I started with Extra Sterks and slowly tapered down my daily cigarette consumption until I was no longer smoking. As others have mentioned, snuff works great (especially when you need that instant hit).

If you're interested in trying snuff, I would like to send you a sample of Icelandic snuff. Just send me a private message with your address and I'll have it sent out right away.

                  Hi again !

Quitting cigarettes for snus is as easy or as difficult as you want it to be, you are so right!
I've been without cigarettes for about 24 hours or something.

I found General Strong White Portion to be very effective, and the 60 minutes Snus bit gave me good insights.
As if that was not enough, I even cut back on my tobacco use. I limit myself to 4 portions per. day
