    Buerger's Disease -

Ok, I had to share this...

I was collecting some information for one of my sites and stumbled across this site....

Buerger's Disease is quite rare and mostly related to smoking but they mention oral tobacco/chewing tobacco as well so it's an interesting read....

    http://smokinggotme.com/buergers.html

....Basically what tobacco does, it to swell the arteries which may lead to many circulatory diseases.....

from a single and simple wound on his toe this guy ended up losing both his legs.....

    just a thought on this...

I might have that. I have bad circulation anyway. It's always worse in the winter, and my feet/hands sometimes get itchy. Bad circulation, and dry skin :^/

It caught my attention because during the many years as a smoker....I had cold feet and hands..... it eventually got better ....

I don't feel itchy hands or feet but they do get numb when I stay in unconfortable positions very often....

moreover my legs hurt sometime.... and I can't find a reason .... maybe bad circulation.... I take gingo biloba for circulation every day

Would glucosamine and chondroitin help Precious? I think gingko biloba will stop working after a few months so you'd need to take a rest for a month or something then start again, so i've heard.

I have Raynaud's disease. Sounds similar. It wasn't brought on by tobacco use but I'm sure that doesn't help.

Hmm I have to do some research ..

I'm only going on natural products/medicine lately.... so gingo biloba is the best as far as I know...

I have been on strong meds for 3 years (anti-depression) and I am aware of how harmful and chemical they are ... :^) I'd advice anyone to avoid taking meds ... only if they have to....

That's been my life long philosophy. I've always avoided legal drugs, and I don't even take aspirin. The only medications I've taken for as long as I can remember are antibiotics. I wouldn't even take them if my stupid body would do what it's supposed to do :^D

Everybody should be taking a decent fish oil supplement. It's good for hearts, joints, and your brain. When I say a decent one I mean no need to get the $40 a month supply stuff, just make sure you read the label. Make sure it states what kind of fish and it states the EPA and DHA levels You want to at least a gram of these 2 together a day basically 2/3 of epa and 1/3 of dha. A good priced one that usually goes on sale around here bogof all time is Natures Bounty Fish Oil double strength. http://www.naturesbounty.com/product/017130

Achey joints can be a side effect with some SSRIs. I think the two things i mention will help you.

                      you mean painful joints ?

ever since I've taken those meds I have a bad joints sound and sometimes painful ....

I've heard that some SSRI's are more dangerous than cocaine ... on long terms ....

Yeah painful joints when they creak, i believe, can be caused by SSRIs. I am no expert but they shouldn't get any worse. I don't think it's as dangerous as cocaine despite all the scare stories for things like fluoxetine. Yes if you don't need it i wouldn't take it but some people really need to take it and it can help. A glucosamine supplement preferably with chondroitin should help you after a few weeks of taking it, in my opinion.

I've heard that alprazolam (Xanax) and Zoloft (that's like Prozac) and other SSRI's are more dangerous than cocaine and heroine... to a certain extent..... the chemical substance in them is highly dangerous on long periods of time...

I've asked about the joints because ever since I've been on SSRI's and anxiolitics for 4 years .... thanks god I don't take them anymore since 2007 .... I have painful and creaking joints..

I think exercising would help though ... for consolidating the muscle and joints....

I'm no expert but Xanax may well be but i wasn't aware that SSRIs like Zoloft are as bad.
