    The Christine McDonnell megafail thread

This new tea party candidate that ruined it for the republicans by winning the primary is just a ROFLCOPTER after another. First, the plac ewas going to vote republican for sure, but now that she won the primary odds are going back to the dems. Why you ask? lol, let's see:

Christine McDonnell's Greatest Hits: Includes: "AIDS patients aren't 'victims'", "Nude sunbathing should be illegal", "Freak dancing should be illegal", and "Tolkien Explains It All"

Christine O'Donnell "I wouldn't lie to Hitler if Jews were hiding in my house"

It gets better: Christine O'Donnell's sister is a lesbian wiccan

Teabagger Christine O'Donnell just wants to save us from the mice with human brains. Is that so wrong?

Christine O'Donnell led collegiate symposium on the depiction of women in J.R.R. Tolkein's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

Karl Rove goes on Hannity's show and says that Christine O'Donnell says "nutty things"...and the far right punditocracy gets enraged and calls for his head

Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell's ex-campaign manager says she's a fraud who's only in politics to pay her bills. How is this different from most candidates?

Congratulations Randi Rhodes, you've won the "most misogynistic thing said about Christine O'Donnell" award. Better luck next time, Keith

    Randi Rhodes:

By the way, Christine O'Donnell. It comes to my attention, uh, Deb tells me that Christine O'Donnell is not married....she's an unmarried woman. Hymen check! [plays popping noise] She'd better be a virgin! Right? With all this vitriol about sex and sexual thoughts and lust and not masturbating and it's wrong and what am I doing in the room...
I know she had a boyfriend. I know she did because her then-boyfriend -- then campaign manager -- purchased her house when her house was in foreclosure for her! Uh, do you think he did it with lust in his heart?

This is going to be great entertainment. This is exactly what I was hoping for this election, all out whackyness. They chose this unknown chick who only made like $5800 last year and who believes masturbation should be a crime and who admits she would turns jews in to hitler if the SS came to her house. They chose this over the solid GOP win. This is change I can believe in!

        From your link:

" She told the JCC audience that she opposes embryonic stem cell research and all abortions except if a woman is going to die, in which case her family could decide which life to save "

"This is her third race for the Senate and people here know her. The local newspaper has written up her $5,800 in annual income, the near foreclosure on her mortgage, her unpaid taxes, the IRS lien against her, a lawsuit over unpaid tuition that held up her undergraduate degree for 17 years (she finally got it this summer). Former aides are spilling tales of alleged shoddy financial management, strange ideas and delusions of grandeur. One said in a robo-call for Castle that O'Donnell was running to "make a buck" and living off campaign donations. Her profession, her background, how she makes ends meet -- all are unclear."

"She'll never vote to increase taxes, and she wants to raise the retirement age for collecting Social Security benefits (she said the issue crystallized for her when she saw Valerie Bertinelli on the cover of AARP magazine -- another puzzling remark, since Bertinelli is 50, eligible for AARP membership but 16 years away from being able to collect full Social Security benefits)."

This is the only good thing:

""And when I go to Washington, D.C., it'll be the Constitution on which I base all of my decisions, not my personal beliefs."

In all fairness, the masturbation comment she made was in 1996 and she was in her 20's. She says that her personal belief is that it's a sin but that she wouldn't impose that on others, that the government has no authority to regulate something like that.

        So your article in summary:

        Bad:

No funding for stem cell research
        No abortion
        Raise the retirement age

        Good:

        Won't stop you from fapping

So I guess the woman herself doesn't get a say? Sounds an awful lot like our Middle Eastern buddies...

Lol, I know I read that and was like, WTF? I mean I guess if the woman is passed out or something. But if she is lucid and capable of making decisions, obviousely the choice would go to her, not her family. If she were to /die/ as a result of childbirth, would that be the /honorable/ thing to do? Almost like, an honor killing if you will?

If nothing else, the fall elections should prove to be interesting,
at least media-wise. Punditry will rise to new, and even more
              absurd, heights.

Major political upheavals are possibly on the horizon and many
Americans expect them to change the political landscape.

The only change, in the end, will be that the newly-elected
representatives of the people, for the people, will talk a good
game while using the same old play book.

Remember, a rose by any other name is still a rose.
Politics by any other name is still ....... bullshit!!

O’DONNELL: I dabbled into witchcraft — I never joined a coven. But I did, I did. … I dabbled into witchcraft. I hung around people who were doing these things. I’m not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do. [...]

One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn’t know it. I mean, there’s little blood there and stuff like that. … We went to a movie and then had a midnight picnic on a satanic altar.

What's so sad about the situation, with all the legitimate gripes that Republicans may have...

Christine O'Donnell is the best candidate they could find? Seriously? I'm sorry if that's the best they can do, Republicans deserve to lose.

I feel like I'm watching the movie Idiocracy come to life before my very eyes.

Love that movie! We are headed in that direction no matter which party remains in power.

None of them pay taxes either.

Christine O'Donnell cancels appearances on Fox News Sunday and Face the Nation. She claims that she has to go to church and a picnic in Delaware...
