Politicians seem to be getting worse with every election. I saw a news article on Yahoo the other day in which the Democrats were saying that we should vote for them because the Republicans are worse. Unfortunately, this seems to be true. I truly empathize with the people who don't vote because it won't matter. In California, we recalled Former Governed Gray Davis because he turned a surplus budget into a deficit, ignored the energy crisis, stripped the schools of some of their funding and raised the vehicle registration fees. Schwarzenegger was supposedly the answer to our problems but now things are many times worse than when he took office. We have a huge deficit, The schools are being stripped of their funding, our electric bills are the same and vehicle registrations fees have gone up. So now, Schwarzenegger blames the legislature for our problems. As far as I am concerned, they are all to blame and I really wish that there was a way that we could pay politicians based on their performance. That alone would save us millions in reduced payroll costs! Our next election looks even more dire. We have Jerry Brown who is a lifelong politician that doesn't really seem to have any new solutions and Meg Whitman who seems to be a downright cold hearted you know what. What choices!

Christine O'Donnell is the best candidate they could find? Seriously? I'm sorry if that's the best they can do, Republicans deserve to lose.

I feel like I'm watching the movie Idiocracy come to life before my very eyes.

Yah that's how I felt about the 08 elections too, I mean they ran Mccain. Were they throwing the election? Did they really think he was going to win over Ob.. well, anyone?

In all fairness, Mcdonnell was actually the "tea party" candidate, and the candidate the republicans were running was a "sure thing" they thought, then she came up out of nowhere. This is what happens when people are so upset with the established politicians that they will just vote for whoever as long as it's not an incumbent, and this is what they get. Mcdonnell alone I think is one of the most hilarious politicians ive seen so far this election cycle. This should provide ample entertainment this entire month.

Also, best campaign button of all time lol.

She's a Tea Bagger and the Tea Baggers are not a new thing. They are the same old Christian Taliban that has been the Republican base for years. The only difference is, they no longer wear white sheets and burn crosses in people's yards, but the very idea of orgasms, even if self-induced, still scares the ever loving $h!t out of them. She's probably also for throwing homos like me in jail, or burning us at the stake instead.

Because the Tea Baggers have been playing to the crazies with the 'Obama is a socialist. nazi, fascist, Kenyan muslim, not even born here,' schtick, that the paranoid Christian Taliban have been buying into for some time now. Now we see the results of that 'sale.'

(I'm not sure what the overall goal of the strategy was, unless the Republicans wished to split the crazies off and marginalize them, in order to eventually bring the party back to a center-right position, free of the hard, extremist right. If that is the case, then best to do that now, before a mid-term, to have it all in place for the next presidential election.)
