People (well on the most part) are smart enough to know to ignore those ads. What I think is hilarious is all the side effects of these drugs. A birth control that can cause heart attacks and deaths. What really is ironic is the depression, bipolar drugs. They say they can cause "suicidal thoughts and actions". Now that is ironic.

I don't remember the name of the drug, but a couple of years ago, we saw an ad for a prescription that would help prevent getting the flu.

Then at the end the guy says the side effects may include, "Heahache, chills and other FLUE-LIKE symptoms".

So you might not get the flu, but you damn sure will feel like you did.

I just saw an anti-smoking commercial - The commercial is just various messages about people's failed quit attempts and a voice at the end urges those to see a doc who have failed at quitting by stating, "Smoking is a treatable medical disease." Just another example of how a commercial claims that pills can cure all things and provides no support for kicking a habit with good old fashioned motivation and willpower (or switching to snus). Thank you snuson members for now making me analyze & question every drug commercial I see!
