We can always cast back far enough in history to excuse current aggression with past oppression. Do we pursue grievance back to pre-history? The source behind that is a link to the number of people killed by the inquisition but there is no source of the people killed each year, so we have one side without the other comparative, in short poor source, and wikipedia as well

True and false. True we need to move forward but not be ignorant of how we got here.

False though that we have people here who see blaming the whole religion as justifiable or that they are that much worse than what has already gone on in history. Perspective needs to be maintained or else we go down the road of xenophobic behavior in the hype machine that is spinning people up without good reason. There is danger there when we can start scapegoating a religious group or people and justify ways to treat them or their religion in a manner that would raise us up in arms.

No those are a list of news links but I can't find the one that corroborates the stories in the center, in short they aren't linked to each other and in fact are different lists. I wonder why? So let me take one, the first, listed in the center on the site as:

Why is there no link, it doesn't support the conclusion they want to draw, because if you read a REAL news source on it you would find no group has claimed the action, and although they do suspect they were islamic militants the REAL story goes on to explain this:

Actually that's not true. Christians and christian wars were at their high-point during the 9 crusades, but islam has been killing hundreds of millions for several thousand years. This includes any enemies killed ina religious war and any domestic citizens they killed because of adultery, homosexuality etc. Honor killings are still big around the world. christianity has mostly died down and is pretty moderate for the most part, however in islamic countries people are still routinely murdered for even the msot minor offenses and without trial.

I am willing to bet that as far as religious deaths are concerned, Islam probably takes the cake by a pretty large margin. But again, it's not happening here so frankly I don't care. If that's how they want to run their soverign countries than so be it. As long as you don't bring that shit to my neighborhood.

But sgreg, let's say the Muslim population in the US grows to such to be the majority, then these might happen. I have read in the UK, there is an effort to use Sharia law for the Muslims. Now of course, not all Muslims are fanatics, I believe the majority are not, and the normal cool Muslims, are probably the westernized ones that are Muslim in name only, but there is a silent majority, that actually agree with the jihad, though they don't act on it themselves.

Another thing to keep in mind, Islam is not a personal faith "religion", like Christianity, or Buddhism, etc., it's a "complete way of life", which they will tell you themselves, that have rules for everything they do, be it butt wiping or foot cleaning.... along with a sepratist theocratical world motive. It's more a totalitarian theocratic slave state political system, and cannot be compared with other religions, that want freedom to practice their personal faith as they see fit.
