I agree. I would think U.S. officials would have higher priorities than snus, other than the PACT Act which was aimed at cigs, and unfortunately snus fell under the tobacco umbrella (but not cigars!).

Of course, in Krahv's situation he is in the EU where snus is more prominent and I believe outright illegal for sale in some parts of Europe.

As far as entrapment goes, entrapment is a word that gets thrown around a lot, but most of the time it's not really entrapment. The cited court defintion of entrapment is as follows:

A person is 'entrapped' when he is induced or persuaded by law enforcement officers or their agents to commit a crime that he had no previous intent to commit.

However, there is no entrapment where a person is ready and willing to break the law and the Government agents merely provide what appears to be a favorable opportunity for the person to commit the crime. For example, it is not entrapment for a Government agent to pretend to be someone else and to offer, either directly or through an informer or other decoy, to engage in an unlawful transaction with the person. So, a person would not be a victim of entrapment if the person was ready, willing and able to commit the crime charged in the indictment whenever opportunity was afforded, and that Government officers or their agents did no more than offer an opportunity.

You have to remeber that in the EU, any sale of snus is illegal (except in or from Sweden) Having a tobacco license has got nothing to do with it.
It's like being in the US and putting an ad on Craigslist offering to sell your spare moonshine. Not too smart.

Your Shame-Shame Smiley is really getting to me. I feel like it knows all the wrongs I've committed and where I hide my porn. It's like it can see through my soul. I must look away.

Around here we refer to the gesture the Shame-Shame Smiley is making as "the Fundamentalist's handshake".

Yes, that is just too ridiculous! There are criminals out there who are killing and raping people, robbing, pillaging, and plundering, and the cops are worried about someone who's helping people stay alive by not smoking cigarettes and sharing his extra snus with someone in need. Good grief. This is a human rights violation.

God forbid we try to help get a product out there that is safer than cigarettes and can help people quit smoking.

Just put "New Nicotine Replacement Therapy" on the can, and I'm sure they'd let it sell.

They wouldn't spend that much money and resources where I am
on under an ounce of pot. It's not a crime. It's an infraction.

Sounds like a crock of shit. Did you give them the nazi salute?

What makes you a criminal? Guilty before trial? You don't know what
kind of cops they were? Did they leave you any paperwork?
A court date? I think you made it up.
