See, my point about it all is not that it's okay that they killed some. It's the fact that we are lied to all the time and except it as fact. Holocaust= Bad. Being lied to about all things = bad. The fact of the matter is if we were told the truth and it was a million still = bad. But when everything you've ever been told is a lie and formed by the same government who is still lying to you, it becomes tiresome. So in summation, Holocaust is bad no matter if they only killed 1 jewish person. But we should seek the facts in any situation and not just suck at the teat of the government propaganda, no matter what situation. You know I Don't even care it was so long ago and has been repeated in Bosnia, in Africa, In iraq under our supervision with our (US) chemicals. So knowing false hoods in history doesn't quite help us to not repeat history. A reasonably aware lifetime of sorting through the vast storehouse of claims and counter-claims is frequently insufficient to ferret out the "truth" of a historical event. It's easy to just conclude that no one is really relating precisely what the circumstances and exigencies of any given historical event. And volumes of research may or may not help the situation considering that virtually every living soul has some ideological axe to grind that is reflected in their "scholarship". Heck the events of yesterday are difficult enough to parse properly let along anything that happened last year, last century, last millenium. It can be such a hall of mirrors but I do know that "enlightenment" is rarely achieved by resolutely fastening upon one conspiratically perfervid version of history to the exclusion of others. The "truth" usually lies somewhere near the fat part of the opinion bell-curve and rarely near the ends.

And oh yeah if we are to limit this forum to non-sarcastic remarks then the overall post count would be about five percent of what it is now.
