No! Most of Americas problems come from sticking their nose in other countries business!

Yea, Israel doesn't get much sympathy from me. The only reason they're an ally, is because they aren't an overt enemy. A lot of our problems come from supporting Israel.

Most of their neighbours with the capability to follow through on it have offered ceasing such threats if Israel followed through on a treaty. Israel perpetuates its own problems. Saudi Arabia was even talking about recognizing it officially in a round of talks not all that long ago if Israel actually went through, but they didn't.

I'll bet that would be easier to get over if their neighbors would stop with the attacks and the "wipe them off the face of the world" rhetoric.

In this thread, I'm going to agree with you tom. Israel consistently defies international agreements, steals land from other countries, practises torture on detainees, and is positively paranoid. Every time someone so much as looks at Israel wrong, the PM and the Knesset are issuing statements about how they are preparing to protect their country and considering pre-emptive strikes. They've never gotten out of their paranoid everyone-is-out-to-get-us state of mind, and are a dangerous country with money. I'd be more worried about them than North Korea, since North Korea has few allies, and very limited means to wage a prolonged war. While I'm not saying they should roll over and allow terrorist attacks to go unpunished, their retaliation is typically drastically out of proportion, and targets civilians more often than terrorists. They also further aggravate problems every time they make it to peace talks with insane demands. Ceasing rocket fire and terrorist attacks I can see, but Israel frequently kills peace talks by refusing to leave Palestinians any arable land or water with their land demands and taking large swathes of Palestinian lands. I don't mind the Israeli people, but the government and the settlers can go straight to hell as far as I'm concerned.

And for those who think I'm talking out my ass about the torture thing, see here, here, here, and here. Unfortunately, as long as the US sits on the UN Security Council, we're never going to see anything done by the UN to stop them since Israel is the US's darling.

    You got that right.

Israel keeps a secret nuclear stock, that everyone knows about, refuses to allow the UN to inspect, and has recently been exposed trying to sell nukes, in the past to S. Africa.

They are just getting ready incase war breaks out, a strategic move in my eyes. Israel has not gone out and tried to take over the middle east, nor have they been funding Hezbollah or insurgents in Iraq/Afghanistan like Iran. If anything, Iran is the real threat, other nations are just posturing to defend themselves incase Iran starts feeling froggy.
    Thank you, sgreger1
