    I would definately try that!

This qoute made me laugh- By developing a high quality, stylish Scotch whisky under the General brand, we could sell and promote the product through trendy clubs and bars in city centers. This created a medium to reach the target audience of men, aged 20-30 years old, who are socially active and see themselves as young achievers.

There probably are a few 25 year olds out there who sit in a upscale bar sipping a scotch but in my 18 years of boozing in upscales to downscales in this country I have never seen one.

Switching that number to 30-50 would be much better.

only scotch ive had was macallan. it was pretty good. but id say im a bourbon drinker. i like wild turkey. my pallet is hardly refined enough to distinguish the finer liquors. crown royal is lamesville. canadian whisky is atrocious. i guess more than any whisky i prefer gin.

never done it much in bourbon, as it isent many brands you can get here, unless you have to go to spec. shops and pay your eyeball for a botle and i would be happy to do so, if i knew it was any good!

we have JD here, but that dosent taste that well on me (sorry to any JD fans) are there brands that are smooth and with a goooood deep taste to em?

It's been a couple of years since I drank whiskey, now it's just beer, red wine, and the occasional vodka mixed drink. But when I was drinking whiskey, I really liked Jim Beam Black, and Wild Turkey was smooth, but the flavor was not as deep.

I'm sure there is some hardcore whiskey chugger on here that could tell you of some more exotic brands that are incredibly smooth.

I'm not sure what brands of bourbon are available in Denmark, but if you can find them, try Woodford Reserve or W. L. Weller. Both very smooth and flavorful bourbons.

              But alas,

              Scotch tastes like perfume
You're drinking the wrong scotch my friend. The Scotch family is very, very large. If you have a well-stocked pub near you, see if you can get your hands on Lagavulin 12 year old, and enjoy your introduction to peat scotch. It smells and tastes (to me) very similar to Copenhagen dip with a bit more leather. The resemblance is uncanny.

As for whiskeys and bourbons, I like the wonderful caramel scents and flavors in Knob Creek which is also extremely smooth, and the strong acidity of Four Roses single barrel reserve. If you're looking for an aggressive whiskey, try the Four Roses.
