Holy Man this place has changed!

I've been out of the loop for a while here but finally made my way back and it's like a totally different place! It used to be orange in here, man, what happened, lol!

Aki's been hard at work it seems. I remember when there were maybe ten people in here - now it's like a metropolis! Here's to snuson being the best damned snus forum in the world, hey!

Yeah, I finally ditched the UK and moved back to Canada. It was fun while it lasted but, man, that country grinds on your nerves after a while, lol. I spent almost ten months back in my home stomping grounds in the far north hinterland, isolated from the real world with nothing more than a crappy modem connection to the internet. Build a thousand square foot garage, helped reno my mom's kitchen, and just recently moved to Ottawa to start a new job. Ditched research, finally, and not a moment too soon. Working a real honest job now in the private sector and I'm loving it. I'm a control systems engineer now, working for a company that makes crazy optics - some of it goes to space, some to fiber optics companies, and our biggest client is Dolby - we make filter wheels and the lenses for those crazy glasses for the new Dolby 3D digital cinemas. Wild stuff.

What's new in the snus world? I've settled into a regular regimen of General and Göteborgs Rapé of late - my adventurous spirit has been tempered by the comfortable habits of a veteran it seems, lol. Anything new and amazing on the snus scene I've been missing? Any great new brands that I can't live without trying?

There's tons of new snus out there, but I'm using all the same stuff from 3 years ago too :^D Mostly Gotland, Ettan, and Grov. The big new trend is extra stark snus. I haven't had many of them though as I don't need more nicotine. All the same companies are still around(SnusAB is gone, no loss :^P), a few new products, but like always, they come and go. There is 1 new company, Gagane(sp?). V2 makes some of their brands under contract, and they bought the old SnusAB facility, and are making snus themselves. The V2 made snus has a pretty good following, I don't know anything about their self made snus.

Yeah, I've done the extra stark experiment but sometimes that stuff is just too OTT. One comes to respect why Ettan has been around for so long, eh.

Zero! I wondered what happened to you. Tried calling you a few times to arrange a beer to thank you again for that Diplomat. Welcome back in any case.

The biggest news I would say is the return of Gellivare which is back in stock at Northerner.

Missing out on beer is always a tragedy, but I'm glad you enjoyed the Diplomat, mate. Gellivare is indeed something to be excited about. I seem to recall that Doris and Roger got a shakedown by the Swedish government... I suppose they've sprung back to life!

@templer - I've seen that wild looking new Lucky Strike. It looks like it escaped from a rave. 0_o

As far as my taste is concerned: no!

The new Lucky Strike Strong Lös can really is great and the stuff tastes fine, but the nicotine is over the top. I think I spat out 4 prillas from the can, because it just was too much. It's probably designed for people who try to quit smoking Russian Machorka cigarettes.

                          Cheers!

I'm in total agreement with Ice. I thought you would never come back..........unless Ice banned my ass. I guess I have been behaving....somewhat. But the day isn't over yet!! So I could still get banned. lol

Please stick around bud. Glad to see ya again.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Wow. Zero the Hero. It's like a page of the ancient mythology coming to life right before my eyes.

                              Seriously, hi Zero!
