performance last night

so i dont know how many people listen to rap(not the mainstream crap but underground or "conscience" rap) but me and my group had a performance last night and it went pretty well. apparently the owner of an atlanta based recording studio was present and he asked us for our information after the show. the crowd seemed pleased. it wasnt anything to big, only about 75 - 100 people at a local club but it's a start.

Cool! My band is planning on playing some shows this year, and I am hoping the next album will get some label interest, though I haven't been promoting our current CD very much.

we used to do little shows at parties so people aroound town know about us. getting famous isnt really the plan though. id be happy staying independent and not giving percentages to a label. its great though. when you have a group of people that are passionate about something and actually do it knowing that money wont be coming in but just because its something they love to do.

Conscience rap? You mean like, "intelligent rap" or "old-school" hip-hop? If you're talking the old guys like KRS-One and that crowd, you're speaking my language.
