    Metal

Any snusing metalheads out there? The heartland of metal for the last 20 or so years has been Sweden, and hey they make lots of snus there. Anyone listen to any Swedish metal bands>? I like Children of Bodom, Amon Amarth, and Bathory to name a few.

Yeah, I'm an old school metalhead, and have a metal band. We just released our debut CD album to rave reviews.

I do the vocals, bass, guitar on 6 of the songs, plus I wrote all the music and 80% of the lyrics.

Anything prior to 2000. Can't get into NuMetal. I kinda like Killswitch Engage, but I'm an old school Pantera/Motorhead/Megadeth kinda guy.

I'm into, and inspired by the bands I grew up with in my music formative years. Venom, Celtic Frost, Sodom, Bathory. I also like new(er) bands like Darkthrone, Immortal, and others.

I'm not a metal fan at all really. I can appreciate some black metal, especially the more orchestrated forms, and I like some folk metal, but it all gets on my nerves after a couple of songs. There's not enough dynamic range. It's either loud, or off :^D

I listen to all those bands, and many others! Love most kinds of metal.

Lately though, I've been on a Southern Rock kick.

Cool. I wrote that one way back in the early 90's.

I've always gravitated to heavier music. I started with Black Sabbath in 6th grade (1989) and like most metal through the 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's. I also dig hardcore, classic rock and most punk. I got some Azreal, Soilwork, Brujeria and the new Mudvayne in the rotation right now

Tom, that's some good stuff you got there.

I mainly listen to punk and crust (considered metal in most circles).
