You cant say either network is "not news", as they are reporting on real events, it's just that they all have their own spin to it. BBC is usually better about telling both sides of the story.
You can cut through a lot of the crap from MSNBC and Fox by just watching the highlights on YouTube.

They always do. Don't worry though, we'll slip some VC portions in the cake.

I am in Cologne. The only two news stations in English are CNN International and the BBC. Pick your poison. As a conservative, it is masochism to watch either. While CNN International is bad, the BBC is ridiculously slanted to the left. They are not a news agency. They are a liberal propaganda vehicle. They split their time between blaming the US for all the world`s ills, and bitching about why the US will not fix everything else.

There is MTV in English sometimes. If you have the mentality of a 13 year old, then I recommend it.

I've been watching my share of CNN lately and .. well, if you watched it, you'd know they weren't really one way or the other.. Over anything serious they usually have a debate or allow each side to share their opinions.

Fox News is.. well, sometimes I watch it, but only to try counting how many biases they let show. Haha.

Yeah, but that's never really been the case.

FOX is at least somewhat honest about what they are. I kinda have to give em that.

I think "punk" would be more about rejecting the paid propagandists of the state. CNN and MSNBC never, or it's very rare, have critical shows of the government.

i dunno, i dont think a news network should have a political lean at all, personally. but yeah ive totally seen msnbc rip into bush. i dont really care for any of those networks, my comment was based solely on you wanting to willingly watch fox news. that shit is garbage. i watched it once and they were retracting a story about a kid who allegedly put marijuana and lsd in a batch of brownies he gave to the local police department. turns out, the brownies were just brownies. i dont know how bad a placebo effect you could get to actually think youd been givin a hit of acid, but thats so retarded. they had his name, his picture, and slanderized him to hell for no ****ing reason, on a bogus, unresearched story. i think that is just the tip of the iceberg.

                      your card sir...

That brownie story shows a total lack of research on fox's part, but really, acid in a brownie? This is a molecule that will be rendered totally inert if you leave it in your car parked in a sunny area for an hour. Baking it at 450 °F would totally kill it. Some cops really weren't paying attention on the day they went over the basics of storing confiscated drugs for evidence.

To be fair Fox does the same thing as CNN, they have commentators from both sides on their various programs. When I was in the Army all we were allowed to watch in the chow hall was CNN (oddly enough), and i've seen both enough to realize that I just hate cable news.

I think we should have an extremely left news station and an extremely right new station, it allows them to rip into each other and acts as a check and balance so that the careful observer can see both sides of any story and draw his own conclusions.

Theres this new fad of hating Fox news but like all fads it will pass. At the end of the day they all suck. I know a lot of you, particularly Justin, assume I am an avid viewer but I really catch maybe 29 min of cable news a week and thats if you count the seconds I catch when skipping through channels.

I read the huffington post, the Daily Kos, Townhall, Talking Points Memo, Little Green Footballs, politico, etc and try to make what I can out of it since they all give a different angle to the same story.

Hell, sometimes I even read infowars (Alex Jones) to hear the conspiracy side. Like I said, you gotta take everything the media says with a grain of salt, it's all owned by only a few guys so no surprise if they all have an agenda one way or another.

Lol that's funny you should mention that because I always thought liberals were the worst thing to happen to the world since war but then I met Alex Jones. I can't get any radio at my work and ironically his podcast is the only thing not blocked by my firewall at work so occasionally I listen to him just for the entertainment factor. I gotta give it to him though, he is all about it lolol I mean he screams and yells at least 10 times per show.
