Vacation ideas for kids...

I'm starting to work up vacation plans for my kid and me next year, and curious what you guys do (ones with kids) for yours?

She'll be 3 next year...so I'm thinking about a Disney Cruise...or a trip to Disney World...but I'm open to input. Any ideas?

The real question is, how much money are you trying to spend?

Disney World is probably your best bet if you can afford to stay a few days and see everything or at least most of it.

Trying to keep it under 4k, but I set that high bar because I want it to be a good one, it's our first "real" vacation outside of small excursions together as a little family.

Most of the cruises have been around 2500 and Disney Resort (I hear the Savannah view at the wilderness themed resort is great) is around 3500. So it's within reason.

How many memories do you have of when you were 3 years old? A Disney Cruise :?: Is that for her or for you? I'd save something like that for when she's like 7 years old so she will remember it.

That's the only thing I was worried about.

I went on alot of vacations as a kid, the ones I REALLY remember were a trip to Puerto Rico when I was like...5, and a trip to Houston when I was 4. But it's sketchy bits and pieces. I just want to do something other than going to the zoo, and I wouldn't mind a vacation anyway.

I like PP's suggestion a fishing trip would mean you would spend more time one on one with her. Use the time to bond with your child without all the other distractions.

Definitely would be cheaper. And she's not scared of fish or anything.

We go fishing from time to time locally.
