Actually, they still haven't tracked down the car! The guy had said he was going to turn himself in in Boston, but when the time came, he just kept going. Too bad they didnt' have Onstar, they could get an exact location of the car using that!

I was hoping the rust would be sufficient, so that dude would then get tetanus and possible gangrene of the parts he had left... when you geld a calf you put a rubber band around it and it just falls off- I have heard that some vets band them and then remove them, it doesn't hurt as much... I wouldn't give THAT douche (can I say 'douche'?) the choice, I would want it to HURT.

Just the kind of world I wished I live in, so I start with me.
That's a great attitude, man. I used to be more like that, but now I'm more inclined to "read" people I encounter, and get a vibe. Then I extend trust based on that vibe.

But it depends on what it is. I'll give anyone a couple of dollars if I have it, and I don't judge what they are likely to spend it on. On the other hand, I'm not letting people into my crib unless some degree of earned trust is established. Maybe compared to you I'm cynical, but I believe in tempering good will with a little bit of street smarts.

Umm, I let NO One into my crib. I will happily give my last dime, but that is as far as I take it. I lived for 5 years in Oakland, I'm not stupid. I will happily share what I have, but NEVER risk myself.

Adding my rant to this rant thread.

What the F*** is with people these days.

I have all these people who work for me, and it seems that none of them give a S*** about their jobs. Like it's a big joke. Granted, pizza isn't like working at Microsoft. But I expect people to work as hard as I do. I bust my @$$ at my job, I do everything I can to make things run as good as they can. Almost 10 years in this business, I know what I'm doing.

It just frustrates me. People complaining, whining. It's ridiculous. Especially the delivery drivers. They have the EASIEST job in the world. And THEY complain. It drives me crazy.

Why can't people just do their job and shut the F*** up?

Chad, I suspect it is just the age. I'm guessing 90% of your employees are under 23??

Just a little sidenote...they did get their car back! And they got the guy...so all is better with that.

Ok, back to the threadjacking fun, hehe

                    I'd say 90% are under 21. But yeah, that's a fair estimate.

They don't understand how good they have it. My drivers make a great hourly rate, and between 50-100 a day in tips on a 5-6 hour shift. For delivering pizza. And THEY complain?!
