On one scale or another.
    Nice point of view.

I wasn't a fan of Twilight Princess, I preferred the games on the DS to it, but man, OoT is one of the greatest games ever made.

I wouldn't compare it at all to assasins creed, almost like a FPS version of Mass Effect if anything. Lots of upgrading your character (which is my favorite aspect of RPG's) along with a gameplay environment that heavily rewards stealth/strategy over going in guns blazing. Lots of sneaking around. I have been playing this game for over a week and I can say it is solidly worth the $65, one of the better games i've played this year and I hadn't even heard anything about it until I bought it. Some of it is a bit unrealistic, like when you kill guards and they get alarmed, if you just wait it out in a corner they will eventually go back to their patrols like nothing happened. But then you lose the special bonuses you get for "not alarming any of the guards" which is a pretty substantial bonus that really helps you upgrade quicker so that sort of balances it out. Save frequently, as you will mess up a bunch of times and have to reload lol.

Role playing but lots of action, great graphics, great gameplay, decisions make a difference, lots of upgrades to your character. All around great game. It favors stealth over guns-blazing strategies so it's fun mainly for that reason.
just ordered it. with all the other hyped titles, i didn't even know it had come out. the original was great, and this one sounds pretty good too. also have heard some comparisons made to assassins creed, which i love and own the whole series. the next AC is also a definite buy for me.

I do my dead level best to stay far away from Gamestop. They may have cheap used games, but in the long run they are hurting the industry.

I think the only thing that realy keeps gamestop alive is people trading in games .. well 6 mons or so ago i went to trade in a few old games i dont play anymore and they wanted my id birth certificate. blood and piss sample (ok not realy) but it was a hassle so i said forget it i'll just keep them you prolly wont give me more than a buck or 2 a piece for them anyway

Deus Ex is really a fun game, sometimes stealth is too hard so I just go in blasting, but then I feel bad like I cheated lol. I love games where you can upgrade, and I LOVE that Deus Ex is one of the few role playing type games where YOUR CHARACTER ACTUALLY HAS A GOD DAMNED VOICE.

EDIT: Re: Gamestop etc trying to pressure Dev's into not launching on Steam. I knew this would happen, but it won't be any use so i'm not worried. Things like Steam or the Xbox games-on-demand store are wildly successfull because it's 2011 and people don't want discs, they want to just download that shit and have it stored all in one place.

Most game stores have gone out of business, Gamestop is the only one standing in CA pretty much. They can put up a fight but they have become irrelivant and hopefully on the next big console they will just do it all direct download from a digital store. Then I can literally not leave my couch.
