That motto went out the window when the powers-that-be realized that you couldn't have one without the other.
    Too bad..

Any gossips on the proposed Amero or CANAMEX corridor then?

How much these wars much cost you yearly and what else could be done with that money?

Sorry for being so rude and ignorant about this.. Back to library reading your history... ops:
I'm ashamed to say I don't know. That's a good motto to live by though. The Iraq war is a sham, and the money could have been much better spent elsewhere.

I'm not sure what to say on this. I consider myself a libertarian, and neither party particularly appeals to me. The Republicans take your civil liberties, and the Democrats take your money. Which is worse? I'm leaning towards having less money, but I'm undecided.

I will say that I'm ecstatic that we have someone in office who isn't anti-science, and who isn't trying to push some religious agenda down everyone's throats. the 21st century looks pretty cool, and I'd like to take part in it :^)

That basic idea is from Washington's Farewell Address in the days of the Old Republic.

Lincoln killed it and we have been on the path of Empire ever since.

If you read my OP, you and I are on the same page politically. I do vote, usually on a straight libertarian ticket. I consider that "apolitical".
