Sort of materials & electrical engineering physicist, here... I work on organic semiconductors for (at present) polymer solar cells . Halfway through a PhD, which I said I'd never do :?
I'm a new here and also 'a newborn' snuser. I smoked for almost a decade, although not heavily, but I decided, or better my lungs that although I love nicotine I really do not like smoke.
I work as a researcher in genetic, mostly human pathology and am few months away from PhD. My work is mainly in researching effect of different abnormalities in different genes in lung cancer. So I think it is about time to give at least my lungs a break.
littlesilverbox, where and for whom do you drive trains?
I am a Systems Architect, which is just a pretentious way of saying I am a senior applications designer. Many in the information business know the uplifting properties of nicotine. I am becoming a snus proselytiser.
Voice network engineer working in the soon to be lost art of the public switched telephone network.
I too am a network engineer (voice), although I left the fading PSTN behind many years ago and moved onto the pure IP side of voice. I am also a developer for the #1 networking company (I'll let you guess who). I hang around labs most of the time which is why I was given the nickname Lab Monkey by my colleagues.
