Not too many years ago my mother found out I was smoking but she never confronted me, apart from calmly asking me from time to time.
When I started snus however, she started asking if I was getting addicted to it, and I had to admit that, yes I did have some physical dependency on it, but she kind of let it slide.
Basically I never got the shitstorm for smoking, she just seemed happy that I switched to snus even tho' she founds it incredibly disgusting. Whenever she mentions I just asks if she'd rather I smoked, and she immediately admits that I made a bad choice, but I made the best of it.
Edit : Just backtracked a bit in this thread, and holy crap fellas. Let's relax and keep the namecalling to a minimum. We might disagree a lot here, but we've got to keep it civil.
