Sister Mary Ann, who worked for a home health agency, was out making her rounds visiting homebound patients when she ran out of gas. As luck would have it, a Texaco Gasoline station was just a block away.

She walked to the station to borrow a gas can and buy some gas. The attendant told her that the only gas can he owned had been loaned out, but she could wait until it was returned. Since Sister Mary Ann was on the way to see a patient, she decided not to wait and walked back to her car.

She looked for something in her car that she could fill with gas and spotted the bedpan she was taking to the patient. Always resourceful, Sister Mary Ann carried the bedpan to the station, filled it with gasoline, and carried the full bedpan back to her car.

As she was pouring the gas into her tank, two Presbyterians watched from across the street. One of them turned to the other and said, "If it starts, I'm turning Catholic!"

Most US Catholics Don’t Believe in Devil
    Church Militant ^

Poll: 83% of Catholics think Satan is just a symbol
Eight in ten U.S. Catholics don't believe that Satan actually exists, according to a new analysis of statistics.
In an online post dated August 24, the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) dissected raw data from the Faith and Global Policy Challenges Survey. This 2011 study polled 1,496 adults in the United States who profess belief in the existence of God with special emphasis on Christians.
CARA's analysis highlighted a concerning trend among Catholic respondents. Only 17 percent of Catholics said they believe that Satan is a living being. The vast majority, the remaining 83 percent, report thinking of Satan as merely a symbol of evil.
Satan's literal existence was most popular among Evangelical Protestants, 55 percent of whom said they believe the devil is a real being.
The fraction of the Catholic constituency that affirmed the devil's existence was smaller than that of any other religious group. Belief in the devil was almost as rare among Catholics as it was among those with no religious affiliation (16%).
Mark M. Gray, editor of CARA's research blog, dug deeper into the survey's raw data. He noted that Catholics who admit Satan's real existence are more likely to support pro-life initiatives, see the world as divided between good and evil and believe in spiritual and moral obligations.

Without Enough Sex, Science Says Your Vagina Could Actually Become Depressed

Burning, stinging, and soreness—oh my! Don’t worry, it’s not a sexually transmitted infection; you might have a depressed vagina.

The medical term for this painful condition is vulvodynia, and research estimates that it affects at least one in four women at some point in their lives. That goes for women of all ages, ranging from young girls to menopausal women.

Vulvodynia causes chronic pain in the skin surrounding the vagina, which can start without warning and last for weeks to months. Additional symptoms include burning, stinging, itching, throbbing, swelling, and soreness around the vaginal opening, especially when it’s touched, like during sex or when putting in a tampon. This could be why you’re having painful sex, too.
Because it’s so hard to diagnose, most women don’t even know they have this condition. Although vulvodynia affects anywhere between 200,000 and six million women in the U.S. each year, only 60 percent of them receive an accurate diagnosis.
“Women do not like to discuss problems in having sex and can feel isolated and think they are the only one,” Dr. Amanda Tozer, consultant gynecologist at The London Clinic told The Independent. “Talking is good and the more women can talk about such issues the better so that it feels like a less taboo subject.”
No one knows what causes vulvodynia, and so far, there is no cure. According to Dr. Vanessa Mackay, a spokeswoman for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, research has shown that antidepressants can ease the condition. Hence the idea of a “depressed” vagina.
What’s more, simple changes like wearing 100 percent cotton underwear and wearing loose-fitting skirts and trousers can help ease the pain. You should also avoid scented hygiene products such as feminine wipes, intimate washes, bubble bath and soap. (That’s just one of the everyday habits are hurting your vaginal health.) And last but certainly not least, experts say that having sex is one of the best ways to cheer up a depressed vagina.
“Sex promotes healthy collagen and elastin cells and maintains the flow of blood to the area,” Sophocles told Women’s Health. (By the way, this is what happens to your body if you stop having sex.)
Bottom line: If you suffer persistent vulval pain, talk to your doctor or gynecologist ASAP. Whether it’s vulvodynia or not, pain might reveal one of the many secrets your vagina wants to tell you.

400 men cut off their testicles to 'get closer to God' after advice from Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh

Multi-millionaire religious "guru" Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh - who has been sentenced to 10 years for rape on 28 August - persuaded around 400 of his estimated 50 million followers worldwide to cut off their own testicles to "bring them closer to God".

The details of the bizarre incident have only just come to light despite reportedly taking place in 2000 at a hospital run by Ram Rahim in India.
India's Central Bureau of Investigation has reportedly accused Ram Rahim of grievous bodily harm and he is under investigation. He has previously been questioned over the murder of an investigative journalist in 2002 and has also been accused of sexual assault by female followers but has never been charged.

Navkiran Singh, who is the lawyer for Hans Raj Chauhan, the only castration victim so far to come forward, said his client and other victims believed they would become social outcasts if they refused to perform the "operation" demanded of them by Ram Rahim.

"They were told that only those who get castrated will be able to meet God," said Navkiran, in a report in the Daily Mail.

Ram Rahim, 47, dubbed the "guru in bling", is head of the socio-political organisation Dera Sacha Sauda and is estimated to be worth £26m.

The guru stars in a spectacular new movie, Messenger of God, in which he appears to walk on air, tear tree trunks in half and perform other miracles. Though 157,000 people are thought to have attended the film's premiere in Gurgaon, near Delhi, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, the revelations have caused sales of tickets for the movie to dwindle dramatically.

Gurus are big business in India, where their endorsements can help political parties get elected, and where millions of people seek spiritual guidance every year. Sathya Sai Baba, who was said to be able to conjure ash from thin air, was worth an estimated US$7bn when he died.

Even after death, some gurus retain a hold over devotees. Ashutosh Maharaj, who was certified deceased by medical examiners last year, has had his body frozen by followers who apparently believe he is merely in a state of deep meditation called "samadhi".
The controversial Indian guru broke down in court on Monday, 28 August, after he was handed down a 10-year prison sentence for raping two of his women followers. The verdict was delivered at a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) special court inside a prison building in Rohtak, in the northern Indian state of Haryana.
Security was beefed up in and around the city in the run-up to the sentencing of the 50-year-old self-styled 'godman'. The court has also ordered him to pay financial compensation to the rape victims. Singh is expected to move the high court challenging the sentence.
Ram Rahim, dubbed the "guru in bling", is head of the socio-political organisation Dera Sacha Sauda and is estimated to be worth £26m. He commands an estimated 50 million followers worldwide.
On Friday, 25 August, a court found the flamboyant guru guilty of the rape charges. The judgement triggered violent protests among his supporters, leading to the death of about 40 people. Trains and buses were torched in Indian capital Delhi.

Vatican police have allegedly broken up a homosexual orgy
    news.com ^

VATICAN police have allegedly busted up a homosexual orgy in an apartment that belongs to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith — a department whose duties include dealing with clerical sexual abuse.
Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidianopublished the claims that alleged the occupant of the apartment is the secretary of cardinal Francesco Coccopa*l*merio, the head of the Pontifical Council for Legislative texts and a crucial adviser to Pope Francis.
Coccopa*l*merio is said to have been recommended his aide for a promotion to bishop but this alleged incident and a period spent allegedly recovering from a two drug overdoses are likely to affect that.
The allegations come after George Pell was charged over sex offence claims last week.
Cardinal Pell was appointed to clean up the Holy See’s finances as the Pope moves to make a number of reforms that have angered conservatives.
The Pope’s reluctance to help in the case of terminally ill British boy Charlie Gard has also angered conservatives.

    Naked Woman Steals Police Truck
    KOB4 ^ |

A naked woman was taken into custody by Arizona police Thursday after stealing a Maricopa County Sheriff Deputy's truck and leading officers on a high-speed chase.
It began when the deputy responded to a call of a naked woman at a Shell gas station in Gila Bend.
Once the deputy arrived at the scene, he approached the woman, who told him she was sexually assaulted.
As the deputy attempted to find something for the woman to wear, she jumped in the deputy's truck and started to drive off, according to investigators.
"The next thing I know, I hear the sheriff's truck -- he had a pickup truck -- squeal out of here," said a witness at the gas station.
