Genitals video set for Valentine's relaunch

The English version of a Swedish children’s cartoon featuring dancing genitals that went viral last month, is on track for a Valentine’s Day release, its composer has told The Local.

Swedish 'genital' video gets remade in English (21 Jan 15)

Its composer Johan Holmström revealed to The Local on Thursday that the video, which has clocked up almost five million YouTube hits, is set to get its English re-release in time for one of the most romantic days of the year.

“We don’t know if it will be ready in time, but we hope to release it on Valentine’s Day. We thought it would be fun, because it’s a video about the ‘snopp’ and the ‘snippa’ and love.”

Originally made for the children’s programme Bacillakuten, which is produced by Sweden’s public broadcaster SVT, the song uses child-friendly Swedish words for genitals ‘snippa’ and ‘snopp’ and was designed to teach children about the body and its functions.

It ended up making global headlines after YouTube initially classified it as ‘adult content’.

SVT later persuaded the video giant to agree that the clip was not explicit or aimed at adults and to lift the classification.

Hoppy meal: Woman tossed out of McDonald’s after taking ‘therapy’ kangaroo to lunch

Hoppy meal: Woman tossed out of McDonald’s after taking ‘therapy’ kangaroo to lunch

Multiple animals can be used to accompany those with disabilities, such as dogs, birds, horses…and kangaroos? That’s what one Wisconsin woman claimed when she took the marsupial into a McDonald’s, but that didn’t keep police from kicking her out.

The strange situation took place last Friday, but was just reported recently. At 11:41am, Diana Moyer entered a McDonald’s in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, with a baby kangaroo accompanying her. Moyer and her husband, Larry, actually own five kangaroos at their home, according to the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen, and they have been taking the young animal to that same McDonald’s for three months.

Up until Friday, Moyer had yet to receive a complaint. However, someone finally took exception to the trips when a customer called Beaver Dam police to complain about the fact that a woman brought a kangaroo into McDonald’s. When officers arrived, they asked her to leave the restaurant.

Cub Scouts on Nature Hike Stumble Upon Nude Beach

Parents are outraged after a pack of California Cub Scouts on a nature hike ended up on a nude beach.

The group of fourth graders, parents and volunteers was hiking along the San Diego coastline on Jan. 24 when they stumbled upon dozens of naked people at the clothing optional Black's Beach.

One of the scouts' mothers said, "I was nauseated because I had never seen a bunch of nude people just walking around holding hands, strange people that I don't know."

Vatican to Offer Haircuts, Shave, Showers to Rome's Homeless
    https://ca.news.yahoo.com/vatican-offer-haircuts-shaves-well-showers-romes-homeless-183628702.html ^ |

The Vatican will offer homeless people in Rome not only showers but also haircuts and shaves when new facilities open next month, the head of Pope Francis' charity office said. The Vatican announced last year that it would provide shower facilities in St Peter's Square for homeless people. Bishop Konrad Krajewski told the Italian Catholic newspaper Avvenire on Thursday that it would also offer haircuts and shaves when the services start on Feb. 16 in an area under the colonnade of the square. Krajewski, whose official title is the pope's almoner, said barbers and hairdressers would volunteer their services on Mondays, the day their shops are traditionally closed in Italy. They had already donated chairs, hair-cutting instruments, and mirrors, the newspaper's website said. Krajewski came up with the idea of building showers in St. Peter's Square last year after a homeless person told him that while it was relatively easy to find places to eat at Rome charities, it was difficult to find places to wash. He immediately received the pope's backing for the shower project and then expanded it to include haircuts and shaves.

Houston UPS driver fired after camera catches him peeing on house during delivery (VIDEO)
    nydailynews ^ |

Ben Lucas was shocked when he found his packages damaged earlier this month. That's when he went to the surveillance videotape and saw the shocking moment the driver urinated on his home. UPS eventually apologized and fired the seasonal deliveryman.
This guy puts the pee in UPS.
A Houston deliveryman was canned from his job after a customer caught him on camera taking a leak on the side of his house.
Ben Lucas went to the tape after items inside a package delivered to his home this month in the Heights neighborhood were broken and busted open.
He suspected the United Parcel Service worker tossed the packages over the fence. The man did — but instead of just taking off, he took time to heed nature’s call.
"I don't know how UPS trains their employees to go to the bathroom, but probably not someone's yard," Lucas told KHOU-TV. “It’s not like the cameras are hidden. They’re in plain view.”
Lucas posted the 100-second clip to YouTube Tuesday. It shows the driver pull up, toss the packages then proceed to pee on bushes and the side of the house. The stunned homeowner included pictures of the aftermath, showing how a large parcel filled with ammunition had burst open.
The driver’s pee was still visible when Lucas photographed the disturbing evidence.
“You're paying someone to take a package to go from point A to point B. So basically I paid someone to come to my house and pee on it," Lucas told the station.
The angry homeowner contacted the local UPS franchise and got in touch with corporate. After several dead ends, Lucas decided to post the video online and even to the UPS Facebook page to get some results.
A supervisor eventually called and promised to replace the broken items.
Ben Lucas was desperate to bring the bizarre incident to the attention of UPS brass, but it wasn't until he posted the video to the company's Facebook page and gave it to the media that they finally apologized. "She was apologetic and wants to send me a 'we're sorry' gift," Lucas told KHOU.
UPS later fired the seasonal worker for violating “decency and delivery care” rules.
“No behavior like this is acceptable,” the company said in a statement.

Accountant jumps to his death from office 'because ... the mannequins were chasing him'

An accountant at a New York ad firm leaped to his death because he was hallucinating that the mannequins at his Manhattan office were chasing him, it was claimed today. David Caquais, 43, opened at window at Catch NY on the fourth floor of a building in Manhattan's Garment District and jumped out about 9pm on January 2. The New York Post reports that Mr Caquais screamed 'They're after me! They're after me!' as he ran around his office and attempted to kick out windows.

Punished for Referencing Bible, Military Chaplain Tells His Side of the Story

In his first-ever media interview, the military chaplain who was punished for making references to the Bible during a suicide-prevention seminar last month says he was simply doing his job.
“What I had tried to communicate with my audience is that depression can be conquered, depression can be overcome, and there are a myriad of ways of dealing with depression,” the chaplain, Capt. Joe Lawhorn, told The Daily Signal in a Skype interview.
“In this particular case,” Lawhorn explained, “I had struggled myself personally with the issue at hand I was teaching.”
