Being a Wisconsonite I live in beer country and consider myself an avid liquid ignorance consumption expert. Lol
I'm partial to IPAs and Stouts as well.
I also enjoy pretty much anything that Lienenkugels brews, which is convenient considering the brewery is practically in my backyard.
But my favorite beer is a recipe Ive perfected over the past few years. Ive got it where I want it finally.
The recipe is a chocolate oatmeal stout that comes in at 9.5% but goes down smooth as water.
Im working on a Whiskey Barrel Stout now, which could take the lead spot as i love a good whiskey just as much as a fine craft brew, so why not mix em and make a awesome brew baby!
My favorite beer is Red Dog, made by the plank road brewery (miller). It was bog out here at least in the 90's and kinda disappeared .I order it specially at the store near me. Also a fan of Stella from time to time.
I don't like lagers, brown ales or German beers in general but there are some do like and if I haven't tried it, I will. They usually have a metallic twang that I dislike in their flavor profile.
I rarely drink Belgian ales anymore, although I love them.
I'm no beer snob, but I also can't stand American mass produced crap...so that means I mostly consume the standard European fare. Heineken, Stella Artois, Becks mostly...
I don,t have a particular favorite beer, but if i had to pick one it would be Guinness, although technically Guinness is a stout. I also like some german wheat beers like Erdinger and paulaner.
I'm a sucker for a good IPA. Luckily Florida isn't in short supply of good breweries here locally.
Drinking a Cigar City Brewery Jai Ali IPA. Last night I went to Intuition Aleworks and had their craft brew "I-10 IPA."
Good stuff.
So, what's you're favorite beer? I've yet to find a beer delicious enough to replace an IPA. Although some consider them overrated, those few cannot give me a better option!
I just read in another thread of people liking this sort of beer yet getting hangovers (I've gotten those too from Hoegaarden white beer but they were...
Include all beers if you like but I normally drink Pilsner (standard U.S. macro beers). Although I do have a taste for the home brew and a good Sierra...
