    Shave it!!!!!!!

I started thinning at 22 and buzzed it short for a few years and finally, when I turned 27 and realized i had a lot less to shave with the clippers, I shaved it bald.

Looking back I shoulda done it years before but now, that I am comfortable being who I am and not what I think I am expected to be, I like the bald head......

It could be anything from stress to lack of vitamins, chemicals from shampoo to genetic make-up.
For some it is a fast process and other's like myself the very slow growing jack nicholson forehead seems to be in my make-up.

You may not have started losing hair yet, but you have a BIG ass forehead...LMAO, j/k

Sgreger....could be stress, do you wear a lot of ball caps? I hear that can cause hair to fall out too. When I get super stressed, I'll notice a little more than normal hair loss, but I'm 42 and haven't lost it yet...so I guess I won't, but who knows. I decided a long time ago that if I start losing my hair...I'm going to shave my head and have the shiniest head around. I say, rock whatchoo got bro ;-)

Yeah that is about when I started balding lol. Keeping it really short does help make it not look as bad.

It's how your hair follicles react to testosterone and it's genetic.

Why is this happening? My dad & mom's side has no baldness, even my great grandpa has a full head of hair. Why is this happening to me if it's not genetic? What can I do?

Am I destined to look like frosted?

Sgreger you could always transplant the hair from your ass to your head.

God only made so many perfect heads, the rest he had to cover with hair.

On the positive side, there are lot of men look good without hair. You could shave it and be like Bruce Willis, and Woody Harrilson, and Christopher Meloni.

Not to mention the bald jock guys like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and Bill Goldberg.

Kidding aside, i read this somewhere that old age is not the only cause for hair loss and heredity may also bring this out. But one of the causes that results to this devastating change is the hormone called dihydrotestosterone or DHT. This is naturally occurring chemical in your body. It is responsible for male attributes, sex drive and even aggression.

You could also checked if you had thyroid problems or lack of iron stuff. i am not sure what that called.

My best suggestion is to go to a doctor and asked for recommendation in this way you could have scientific treatment.

I like my hair though, i'd like to have the option of keeping it if at all possible.

Hopefully it's just thinning out, I can live with that. I am wondering if Rogaine or any of these other products actually work, has anyone tried them?
A friend of mine used regaine on thinning hair for years before realising it wasn't doing anything other than costing him money. Now he's shaved to the skin and richer.

Pretty old post but I'll bite. I basically started going bald very quickly my Freshman year of College.(19-20) and by 21 it was gone. I went from having Harry Potter amounts of hair to nothing.

At first I was bummed, but I actually liked it. I use a #1 and use a Wahl trimmer and buzz my head. No more barber visits, I grew out a Goatee to look bad ass and never looked back. I wake up, shower, and goto work. No 10-15 minute hair prep, no more gel, hair spray ect, no more flakes from crappy hair products. Now at 30, I actually appreciate the baldness, more aerodynamic, and it rocks in the summer.

                                I'm still not getting bald

but baldness has a lot to do with genes... so if you dad was bald at an young age you might as well....

                                I hope I won't I would hate to be bald at 32.
