I have never been one to shy away from asking silly or possibly uncomfortable questions. So I ask you, where is Sagedil and how can we get in contact with him to get him back on this forum? You can PM me if you would rather not post. I am going to try to pull him back here. That is if he is still welcomed. I don't know why he quit coming here but he was one of the best sources of information, at least for me, on this site. I remember being a newbie and he was one of the first to welcome and help me. Why should others not receive this experience from Sagedil himself?

Last summer the sage man departed in a Huff. A 1934 Cabriolet Huff I believe it was, in protest against the change in ownership of the forum and sundry other factors. He has been missed no end.

It's a bit more complicated than that....................and by a bit more complicated I mean................way way more complicated.

Regarding the complexities dog you are correct so perhaps "sundry other factors" was excessively reductive. I also note that I do not ever recall anyone characterizing my frequently overwrought ramblings as "succinct". Thanks, I think.

Sagedil is a great guy, but like home, sometimes you just can't go back. I'm not sure if he would ever come back and he is missed by the masses (well most :P)

I miss him too. I think he could come back, and just start posting, but we have to leave the past in the past, and start anew. I don't think anyone has any beef with him and was shocked when he did leave, which to me and most of us, didn't really make sense. It's just a forum, where people can post their own crap, and there is no reason for anyone to attach more importance to it, or take anything too serious, or personal. It's a forum to have fun with.

The way I saw it, it was during a transition period when Northerner became owner of the forum, and introduced the VIP thing, and for some reason, sage did not like this and was upset. I think most people did not mind it, and thought the VIP thing was good. But he didn't. This is how it looked to me, and I might be wrong. But that was so long ago, and I don't think the forum was compromised. I say let bygones be bygones, and I welcome sage back, I think everyone does, but we need to move forward, and dwell on past drama.

If I remember correctly, the VIP offer and ownership was just a part of it. I believe there were some other issues like having ads in the forum and accessibility with mobile devices. The other thing is that we won't really know what happened behind the scenes with the mods and there may be a lot of other issues at play here. I personally believe that sagedil was just starting to get burnt out with the forum and he needed a reason to leave but I could be way off on that. The fact that he just got married meant that he had other priorities as well. It would be great to have him as well as many other former members back. Even if they just popped in once a week to say hi. I really miss Lazer's rants and Snusmun would be cool to see as well.

Slydel. Sage got married to a girl who was also on the forum, they seemed to be doing great, but one day he blew up about this new deal snuson had where you get 6 rolls of a snus of your choice for $100 shipped. Obviously this is an amazing deal, and cheaper than you can get anywhere else, but I think Sage saw it as snuson becoming too corporate and protested. The protest led into some "feelings" regarding his behavior being aired by a few people, and then everyone fought for a while until sage left. Sage was doing the whole " I am the senior snuson vet, I run shit here, so don't piss me off because I have a lot of sway", and everyone was like "quit being a dick dude". Then sage left after people voiced their concern with a mod constantly chewing people out and yelling at new people and whatnot.



I think the whole thing was a misunderstanding, and more of a falling out of friends than anything else. I always thought he would come back, but he's kept to his word. I hope he and his wife are happy though, and he should know that he is always welcome on the forum, he definitely helped out the newbies a lot.

I just hang out here and talk with friends, my post count is 100% useless and 90% of it is posts about non-snus related shit. At least sage earned his spot on the top posters list. If your reading this Sage, know that everyone has little fights, but don't let ego get in the way of good friends. Come back and say what's up, a lot of the old group is coming back.

But Slydel, to be honest Sage is the one who blew up and stormed out. He started yelling at new members and always blowing up no people. Then he got into it with one of the snus stores and started telling him that he would turn all of us members against them. I think he just started feeling a little too powerful and started getting cocky. It's kind not anyone fault but his own, and a lot of people left as a result of him.
