I think we have pretty much covered the bases ......................enough to give folks at least a feel for what happened

I think to say any more would be counter productive.

There were some strong feelings on both sides

If and when Sage ever decides that he wants to come back..........................those with a dog in the fight could then try to work out their grievances

For the rest of us...........all our discussion will do is either trash Sage (without him being here to defend himself)...........or trash the forum for something that most of us only have but a part of the picture (I'm not saying that part is unimportant.............only that it is just a part)

There is something about crossing a bridge when you get to it.

I miss Sage and always considered him a friend................I miss the good things that he brought to the forum.................I also agree that it was time for him to step away

Again I am saying this as a member not as a mod.............................I am not trying to end the conversation or do a conspiratorial cover up...........I am just asking that we keep it civil and not go throwing matches onto an old pile of black powder for no reason.

One thing I don't believe has been mentioned was sage's particular dislike of this sub-forum. I remember him mentioning a number of times how he felt that the discussion was becoming less focused on snus, and that the political BS and flame-wars in People and World Around Us were starting to become to large a force in Snuson for his tastes. I think someone said it best when they said Sage took this forum very personally, and he was really proud of it. When things changed to something he didn't like, he got real upset about it and left. I was here for it, and to be honest, I don't remember sagedil ever being rude to newbies or going on rants, aside from some of his posts complaining about the shift in focus I mentioned. To be honest, I feel like I understand why he left though. Things have changed. Some of it, like the sudden drop off in threads saying, "OMG, new snu out, I order a tin of it along with five other tins!" are outside of the control of the forum's owners, just having resulted from changes in peoples buying habits post-PACT. Others not so much. I'd still say that I'd rather the forum be totally neutral, than owned by Northerner. I love the guys that work there, like Frederik, and it's great doing business with them, but I can see how some people would have rather things stayed independent. Still, things have been done, and they cannot be undone.

I feel like maybe I had the break I needed, and I might be popping in more, myself. Mostly just because of the number of people I know here that I don't hear from anywhere else, like Darwin, Dog, lx, Roo, and sgreger. Of course, Joe's still here, so I have to deal with him posting like he's got a checklist of liberal stereotypes he reads over before posting to make the saner of us look crazy. But screw it, I'm back, and I'll continue to annoy certain people by my less than perfect censorship of of foul language. Fµ¢k it.

fyi, lately a few people have mentioned things on the order of " since northerner owns the site" referance. Well, when northerner came into the picture there was alot of crap being thrown around about how northerner controls the site now and that it just won't be the same. I emailed Ice directly to get the low down on whether northerner owns the site now or not. Ices reply was...

" And just to making this one more time clear, SnusOn is my site, not Northerners, not Icetools or any other partners. SnusOn is owned 100% of me, Northerner is important partner that we can develop the site and new plans....."

So lets all get this out of your heads that northerner owns this site. Northerner is an important part of SnusOn but in no way owns it. However to me it really doesn't matter who owns it. I'd say its working quiet well the way it is now and I appreciate being a part of it. Thanks for letting me stay Zero. lol.
