Sorry I haven't been around guys! Been putting in looooooooong shifts the last couple weeks. We've had this crazy fog lately that rolls in in the evening, and it is just nasty, creamy, thick soup out there. So, needless to say, lots of car accidents to go along with all the damn skiers breaking their sh*t at the resort, it's keeping me daaaaamn busy lately.

        Anyhoo, an update:

Scales are completely done, 95% of the polishing is done, and 90% of the honing is done. Engraved Penis is almost compl.....um......nevermind. We're almost there!!

I am going to post some photos tonight after work, and start putting her back together. Don't worry, I'm still here!

Well, I for one am glad you're alive....and no harm has befallen you as PP suggested...pffft. I am enjoying a few drinks before bed tonight, even though I probably shouldn't because I have to take the kids to school in the morning. Anyway, glad to hear you're doing great...too bad work is kickin your ass. Take care

So here she is as she sits right now. All that is really left is to put it together permanently, final polish, final honing, and get it in the mail!

To put her back together we'll be using adjustable brass pins, brass washers, and we'll be putting brass spacers between the blade and scales, to help insure the blade/scales last another 100 years.

            She be shinin'!

....And a final "mock-up" to make sure everything is fitting right.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

The brass does look great against the lighter colored scales. But the cool thing is now you can adjust the scales for how loose/snug you like them to feel in your hand. All my personal straights now have adjustable pins - I like them that much!

Hey, if your going to cut yourself at least do it with class. That is a sweet razor Rick. The fact that it belonged to your grandfather is kind of cool.

Looks incredible. Makes me want to launch my Mach 3 crap disposable whatever it is in the street and pick me up one of them.

Off topic, lucky strike snus! I still want to try that. I got into snus too late in the game I tell ya.

Agreed it is classier, and a throwback to a simpler time. I'm sure my Grandfather cut himself with the same blade, lol...so it's probably familiar with my family's DNA

So after taking me Fore-eveeeeerrrrrr to complete, here she is in her mandatory Jager shot. Although I would have liked to do a more thorough restore, she came out looking pretty damn nice.

I really do feel bad for taking so long, sometimes life just gets in the way.........
