I kind of find this whole phenomena interesting if you ask me. We've never had a president that was "different". We've always had a relatively elderly white male from a christian background in power. This is the first time in the history of the republic that we have something other than that. Naturally, everyone is constantly grasping at straws in an attempt to prove that he's not "one of us". It's not racism for the most part, but it just kinda makes people one edge. This day had to come sooner or later, and it's interesting to see it playing out.

I believe that the muslim/kenyan thing comes from several factors. 1 being that his whole family was Muslim, and from Kenya aside from his mother. He spent a lot of his younger years in Indonesia, a predominantly Muslim country. The other being that his grandmother once said that he was born in Kenya, which was likely said in error but once it's said it becomes heat on the fire.


It's difficult for someone to get elected with many of the handicaps he came into office with, I mean right off the bat he is black, but not black enough to where some of the african american community were willing to accept him, (the whole "not black enough" saga), then he comes from a Muslim Family born in a Muslim country and then lived part of his life in a muslim country. That's a big handicapp considering that the US currently has Muslim Madness and are afraid of being infiltrated from the inside or something. Imagine if during the cold war someone named "Trotsky" was elected President and he was of Russian dessent. People would question his motives constantly.

Lol, I was not making any statement about what I did or did not believe. I was just saying how interesting this phenomena is to see everyone trying to prove he's not one of us.

Of course he's one of us, he's an American citizen, born here, and the whole pretending to be christian thing was not created by Obama, it's been around for a long time. I think he doesn't really care about religion, and I do not think he is Muslim. However, coming from a muslim family, that has certain influences as well.


As I told someone in a PM recently, even though i don't like Obama's politics, if I were the SS guard standing next to him I would take a bullet for him without thinking, because he is the president and I am still about country first. He is the elected representative of the American people.

I don't believe Obama IS a Muslim, but I do believe he has Islamic affinities. He did grow up in an Islamic setting. His father was a Muslim. He also had radical ties in college, which often are pro-terrorist Muslim. He's always trying to "reach out" to Muslims", even with NASA. He doesn't visit the Sikh Temple while in India, because, we are told, him putting a cloth on his head might make some think he's a Muslim, so instead, he goes to Indonesia and visits a Mosque!? He was also a member for over 20 years of a radical "Christian"(liberation theology(like the black variant of Christian Indenity)), that gave an award to, and praises Farrakhan, of the black racist Nation of Islam. It's known he took Islam classes in school. All this, along with his non normal American name, and his refusal to show his actual birth certificate, does raise questions in one's mind. So, while I don't believe he IS a Muslim, I think he has an affinity towards Islam.
