    I just quit smoking

After having been a smoker most of my life, I decided to quit about a week ago.
I just think prices on tobacco (I can only talk for prices in Denmark) have reached a point, where I no longer wish to take part in the hysterical let's-raise-the-tax-and-see-if-the-smokers-will-keep-on-smoking circus.

I got hold of some of my fave boxes of snus (mocca mint and thunder frosted), and that kept me going thru the first difficult days. Now I'm over the worst part of kicking a bad habit, so why portion snus is illegal in Denmark is beyond me. It's perfectly legal to smoke and drink your brains out, but snus in portions isn't.

Well, I got it from Sweden - so I'm generally just glad to be an ex-smoker

Congrtatulations your quiting smoking isteen. I quit smoking almost 2 years ago by using snus, one of the best choices I have ever made.

I think governments are more concerned with tax revenue than they are concerned about people's health. It doesn't help when the same companies that make cigarettes support the laws to keep snus from competing with cigarettes.
They use the crusade for people's health to mask their real motive, greed.

It's illegal to sell it in all EU.

Probably because it would affect the cigarettes industry.

Congrats on kicking the cigarette beast's ass. Good for you!

You'll feel better and better all the time...just don't run out of snus. Can you get tobacco bits there such as Oliver Twist or something? Those are pretty good.

Congrats isteen! Keep it up. I quit 19 months ago with snus and haven't missed it one bit. Not only should snus be legal in the EU, it should be promoted everywhere.

I was going to say you guys left out religion but I don't think religion is a big discussion topic in Denmark.

Congratulations, I've been two years without a smoke myself if you don't count the occasional pipe but it's always great to hear.
