On the heels of the Grov Kardus announcement I've found out that Swedish Match is releasing another limited run - this time of a General product called General Green Harvest. This snus will have the traditional flavor and character of General White Portion. Only 200,000 cans of this product will be released. It's coming at the end of August. The can makes mention of "Naturally Grown Tobacco from Certified Growers". Perhaps this will be a more fresh version of General White Portion. This release is also a white portion.

This sounds like it might be worth trying. I love the idea. Lets see, we will soon have Thunder Long Cut, Grov Kardus and General Green. This might be a great year after all.

That was my very first thought when I saw the word "stable." I'm sure SM meant the other 'good' stable smells though, such as the hay, wood, musky earthy smells...but who knows...maybe I'm full of horse shit for not appreciating the scents withheld inside stables

These are some of the same words used to describe 01/02 and General Long, as well. My guess is it will be a white portion star formation with tastes of General mixed with the Lab Series. If you like both of those, this will probably be right up your alley.

It sounded kinda like a mix of:

01 Portion
Balanced round and natural tobacco taste with notes of green herbs, oak and ceder with a slight hint of nuts.

and

General Long Portion
Rich, spicy tobacco flavour with clear notes of bergamot and hints of hay, grass and stable.

One thing I've learned about General is they all taste a little different. Some are heavier in one department while some are heavier in the other. If you get a chance, on one order try them all. White, Original, Sterk (or Strong now), Ekstra Sterk, Onyx and Silver (are they still making that?) as well as the Long portions. Jot down your notes as you go. You'll notice as you go through them each one tastes a tad different from the other.
