    Funny you bring that up...

The only time I admit to being a 'senior' is when it involves a discount.

Unless I've really screwed something up --- then I admit to a 'senior moment'
(not that that happens very often .... yeah, right!)

Hmmm.... I was browsing the Ephemeris website and the FAQ section says this:

Q: Are you guys affiliated/funded/spun off of another website or by a tobacco manufacturer or shop?
      A: Absolutely not.

The Snuff Taker’s Ephemeris is not an extension or byproduct of any internet forum, store, or tobacco manufacturer. We are a completely independent and autonomous entity and we’re not affiliated in any way with any other venture
But the "Friends" section lists only the following websites:

      snuscentral.com
      mrsnuff.com
      fumeecigars.com
      snuffbox.com
      snuscentral.org
      drsnus.com
      snuffbox.org.uk
      snubie.com (nice job Chad)
Why is snuson.com or snuffhouse.org not listed? What about the Northerner's or MaKe WeBo's websites? Sounds like the info in the FAQ section is a fallacy to me... Is Larry Waters at it again?

Just ordered it. The first issue was great. Looking forward to reading issue no.2.

What does Larry Waters have to do with our FAQ page?

Anyway, the people you see listed in our "Friends" section are people that (A) have purchased advertising from us or (B) write articles for us. The Northerner, snuson, MaKe WeBo, snuffhouse, etc do not furnish articles or advertising to us, so they're not listed.

Somebody needs to remedy that situation.

With your growing readership, advertising is almost a no-brainer!!

But then again maybe the supply is wanting...

              Ain't that the truth!

I think a lot of the companies that don't advertise with us are under the impression that since our readership is comprised solely of tobacco users, it's kind of pointless to advertise to people that are, in all likelihood, already customers of theirs.

What they don't realize is that since we bring the snuff and snus communities together as one, there's a lot of room for cross pollination there. We're hearing from longtime snuffers that are curious to try snus, and new snusers are reading about snuff in detail for the first time and are anxious to try it.

We were actually kind of surprised at the lack of manufacturer's interest in our mag. Maybe they thought we wouldn't make it to Volume Two? I don't know, but either way, our first issue was shipped to 24 different countries strictly on word-of-mouth publicity, so we really don't need advertisers to get the book out.

The one drawback to not having an abundance of ad revenue, however, is that we have no way to offset our production costs. This unfortunately results in a stiffer cover price for our readers, which is something we were trying to avoid from day one.

If so, that's a curious position for them to take. I'd think it would be a natural fit, and would be a good way to plant a product in people's heads. I might be aware of Toque snuff, but maybe couldn't be bothered to order. I then see an ad, and say "Wth, that looks like it might be good, I'll give it a try." Just because somone's aware, it doesn't mean they still can't be marketed to.

I agree 100% lxskllr. You know the old saying about leading a horse to water...

I'll be sure to hide it from everyone else until I've had the
opportunity to read it all from cover-to-cover.

btw, anything yet on subscription plans??

Not yet, SG. We've still got quite a few gremlins to exterminate before we tackle subs. We are working on it though.

When will the reprint of the first issue be available? I missed out on the first go-around.

We hoped to have it up for pre-order yesterday, but our printer is being kind of vague on when it will be ready. Once we have a definite ship date we'll have it up for pre-order. Looks like sometime this coming week.

                              I can't wait. I thoroughly enjoyed issue 1.

Issue 2 just arrived. I was supposed to take care of some things this afternoon, but all that is now on hold. It looks great - can't wait to pull out some snuff and get reading.
