I know the shop in Victoria and need to pay a visit soon, I will ask for the Neftobak and if they still have it I will give you all the low down. The shop is called Jayems "smokers gifts" 125 Victoria Street, Victoria Street, London SW1E 6RD 020 7828 1472.

O.K so went to Jayems in Victoria and they have the Neftobak in stock and selling for £6.99 for 45g in the horn shaped dispensers but no tubs. Just sampling some now, not sure quite what I think of it, it has a very singular taste/scent which I can't pin down just now, a barnyard quality though for sure but some sweetness and saltiness also, a but like Turkish sumac. The tobacconist said he has a case left and can get more but would only mail order within the U.K.. I am keen to try and mix this as snus, but not sure the water to tobacco ratio, any ideas?

I would just add a little till the right consistency forms.

I have mixed some of the tobacco into los snus and am pleasantly suprised, it is not as strong as legend would have it but equal in strength to a normal los. It bakes well and has a flavour that is peaty and smokey like an islay single malt. Really pleasant.

The snuff itself doesn't sound all that interesting to me, but I'd sure love to have an empty container!!

Never used scotch snuff but have dipped indian snuffs. The neftobak is a very course ground and when you add water it really is indistinguishable from a course los.

I'd feel more iffy about dipping indian snuffs than scotch snuff I dipped toque once went ok, but no flavor or nic noticeable. The neftobak is dual use though.

That was my first snuff. It got me hooked on snuff, and when I tried better kinds and brands, I couldn't use it anymore. Horrible stuff.
