Yup I got it at Jayems.
Smokey and peaty is right. I didn't like it as a snus or as a snuff

Can i be really anal and ask whether the TSNA counts on both Neftobak and/or Taxi are higher or lower than Swedish snus? (before and after adding water) Is it air-cured tobacco? I'm guesing it would not be pastuerised. I'm asking because it would be might handy to have a dry snuff that i could turn into a los.

You can be really anal, but unless you speak Icelandic, you can also be quite SOL. Hardly any info on neftóbak in English from what I've searched over in the time since I've opened this thread.

Taxi is still manufactured within Gothiatek standards, so as far as I know it's pasteurized and pretty low in TSNAs although SM has never released an exact figure.

Neftobak is a little trickier. Just based on what little info I have, it's very likely fermented. The tobacco used is air cured burley. No telling what the TSNA count is.

If it is air cured than it has very VERY low amounts of TSNA's because most of the TSNA's that are high in tobacco products comes from fire cured and the others but air cured is most likely to contain the least amount of TSNA's

EDIT: I got ya it is fermented misread that lol

Why don't you use the free and easy translator? Even if you get poor translations from them and it's "broken" Islandic at least you could get the point across to them (I lived in Thailand with my wife for 7 years and the google translater and Bing translates to words and sentences that are so jumbled and incorrect that when read makes completely zero sense, some translate to goofy entertaining sentences LOL)

I will contact them does anyone have there contact info? Sorry for bumping this thread but I am very interested thanks!

Me too. I'm getting a craving, and I'm all out of Neft.

My sister was supposed to bring some, but I guess she forgot..... Oh well. I'll get my hands on some one way or the other!

Maybe get it by the jar...

Sight of that alone is making my nose water!

Hi. I just moved to iceland, and discovered I could not take my snus with me. Now I am stuck with this neftobak. how do I use it? I tried do it through my nose, but i didnt like it. Can I use it like snus in any way, like under my lips?

You moved to Iceland?! That's awesome!

Where did you move from? And why?

                          ----------

Try adding a little water to the snuff to moisten it a bit before snussing.
