A friendly correction. (Maybe you meant one thing and typed another but), In the interests of accuracy... Toque Natural isn't an SP. Not even in that category. It's Toque Original that's the SP. If you haven't tried it, you should. It's excellent!

Other great SP's are Wilson's Tom Buck and Sam Gawith SP #1 High Mill. Those are my top two.

If you really like the dry toasts (like I like the SP's)... while you're waiting for the new Toque, you owe it to yourself to try F&T's High Dry Toast. It's even more neutral than the IHT #22. Whatever Rod comes up with is sure to be good though.

F&T High Dry Toast is my favorite of the type so far. It's smoother to take and the flavor is just divine. HDT and Toque Natural are both on my never be without list.

My can of Toque Natural definitely is SP-flavored. It has SP-typical citrussy undertones that cannot be confused with a pure tobacco-flavor. I've read many reviews stating that Toque Natural is absolute pure tobacco, so I know that you're not talking nonsense, but I've also read a few reviews stating that it's undoubtably a rather lightly flavored SP-variant, so I also know that my nose is not totally wrong. Maybe there are differences between batches or the recipe has changed. I guess only Roderick can tell more.

Thanks for the F&T High Dry Toast-suggestion, RobME and TBD! It doesn't get imported to Germany yet, otherwise I would have tried it already. Most Germans kinda are menthol-lovers and the snuff-market (aside from Pöschl) isn't too big anyway. I guess next time I'll order from a British shop. That also would give me the opportunity to try some of the old-fashioned, yummy-looking chewing tobacco twists and plugs that I've seen on some websites.

        Cheers!

Northerner has F&T HDT. I agree with the others, that it's a great snuff. Your assessment of Toque Natural is interesting. I have a tin, and I like it very much, but I don't get anything but plain tobacco out of the scent. I wonder if stock got mixed a little at the factory, and it was contaminated with some Toque Original.

Or you can just order it from Northerner. they carry it all.

And thank you as well for the Fribourg & Treyer High Dry Toast recommendation. Although I keep buying Toque, I like to throw in something else with each order as well, so will get this next month when I place my next order.

Thanks lxskllr and sagedil! I should have considered before to explore Northerner's nasal snuff selection more thoroughly.

              Cheers!

I still make a point of ordering from both nicotineriush and Toque directly sometimes. But Northerner carries everything and it is just so easy to include it when i am getting my snus. Also makes sure I don't overspend too badly

Chainsnusser, you're Welcome for the suggestion. I agree that your tin of Natural may have been contaminated with another flavor somewhere along the line. I haven't noticed any flavor other than tobacco in mine. I'm working on my 3rd tin, so maybe I'm too new to tell, but it's nothing like Original.

I couldn't wait and decided to go ahead and order from Toque: Chocolate, Vanilla, Toffee, Original, Peanut Butter, Quit, and Whisky & Honey (to be used only when I'm confident and more experienced--I just hear too many good things about it!) All those are 10g tins, which I think will be plenty. I did go ahead and throw a mini-bullet in just for the heck of it: Spanish Gem. I can't wait for my delicious nostril-dessert festival!

I decided to go with the Toque website, since it's waaaay cheaper than Northerner...and the free shipping's nice, too! I know it'll take a while to get everything according to Sage, but I'm POOR.

I can't wait to hear what you think. And for your next order, make sure you throw in some fruit. Both Raspberry and Pomegranate are wonderful.

The bullet thing really doesn't work to give you even close to an adequate dose. But I love my bullet cause it is so easy to carry, and I can open it up and pour out the perfect size dose and just have lots of control over that.

Do spend some time on snuffhouse.org reading their how-tos.

I so love my snuff and am like a little kid who squeals when someone new tries it.

What is the nic content of both oral and nasal snuff? Not that I have any intention of trying it again (Snus does the job).

I had my first nic buzz on oral snuff when I was 13 years old (6 years ago). Never tried snuff again until about 10 months ago, and didn't get a buzz from it (I was a smoker at the time). Didn't bother with it after that, no buzz, plus spitting, plus mouth cancer made it unappealing.

It shouldn't take that long to get to you. My orders from Toque generally take 6-7 days, which is about average for the snus shops also. The only order that took longer was the original sampler( free) order which took 2 weeks.

I've only ordered once from Toque and it took 4 days to arrive in OR which was pretty amazing. My Nicotine Rush orders usually take 2-3 days.

I got my paycheck yesterday and just couldn't help myself. I made a second snuff order over at Nicotine Rush:

                              +Dholakia Swiss Chocolate
                              +Dholakia American Coconut Toffee
                              +McChrystal's Apricot (no menthol!)
                              +Molens Prins Regent
                              +Molens Chocomint
                              +Swisher Society Sweet Snuff
                              +Swisher Honey Bee Sweet
                              +Swisher Strawberry Sweet

...So I guess that makes it a race between Toque and Nicotine Rush! 4-7 days v. 2-3 days, with Toque in a day ahead. Which package will get here first?! Only time will tell...

                              *hyperventilates*

That looks like a pretty good order yummi. Be VERY CAREFUL with the American snuffs. They can be quite hard to take due to being ultra fine, and dry. Take a pinch between your fingers, and inhale very lightly as you rub your fingers together to release the snuff. The Americans are quite unique, but are one of the biggest challenges for a beginning snuffer.
