To be honest, dip or chew is what I started with. It was very popular to use Skoal or Copenhagen when I was in junior high and it wasn't that hard to get. After using that for a while I switched to cigarettes. I used to like Beech Nut and some of the other long leaf chews and have probably used them a handful of times over the years. I really think snus is better though and I don't really want to start a habit like dipping or chewing when I have a much safer alternative available to me. Also, I remember getting very sick after swallowing a mouthful of Skoal because I didn't want my parents to see it. Now just the smell of some chew is enough to bring back bad memories.
